MG are you around? want to pick your brains on patterns etc for sewing, thought I would have a go at making some children's aprons to sell, and need to know how to do a pattern? a very easy one at that, and try and make other stuff other than jewellery.

Just wondering if I could use children's duvet covers?

Claire: Hope headache doesn't become a migrain. Why don't you try to Ebay 1 of the Ipods and see how much you get. If more than £8 it's a bonus, if less sell 2nd one to cash convertors.

Going to start doing some life plans this afternoon - stage 1 I think is where I want to be by Christmas. Then break it down to do-able, minute baby steps.

Claire - go into advanced on the e-bay setting & then into completed iPod thingys - you should see what price previous ones have sold for & even if the do sell

Also - whenever anyone at work asks me how I'm doing the standard reply is "Having a great time..."

That way they never know what I'm really thinking....

Clootie I always say 'I'm having a lovely time' when I'm asked too!

Off to The Burrell Collection with one of the boys this afternoon. Ive never been as it's a bit out of the way.

Need to do a list soon of all the places I'd like to visit in Glasgow if this were to be my last 5 months here. Gulp!

To the right hand side of the search button there's an advanced tab. Click on that & put in your description then scroll down to "completed listings" - sorry, I got the name wrong - & tick this box - it should then show you completed auctions & the prices - if the prices are in green then that's how much the sold for & the prices in red are what was asked for but have not sold.
At least, I assume that's what it's for - I just pressed buttons & found it one day

Found this PDF on a blog http://sewliberated.typepad.com/Montessori%20Childs%20Apron.pdf
Might give you some ideas on how to create your own??

Packed DD in the car and went for a drive listening to some fave music. Feel a bit better mentally (for now) so I have hung out some more washing and put another load on.

There are some fantastic blogs out there with just gorgeous photography (many of my favourite are American ones for some reason). MG go for it, I love reading what other people get up to in their daily lives from frugal living to crafting. I am just [STRIKE]nosey[/STRIKE] looking to be inspired :rotfl:

Not necessarily, no. I would however be interested in reading a blog about YOU - no labels, no boxes, no titles, just writing about what's going on right now for you - recipes, funny things the kids have done, your latest efforts to resist the temptation to walk into the local job centre offices with a sub-machine gun....you know the sort of thing! :p

So you're looking for the MSE threads without the interruptions from the rest of us then :D

MG - I'm sure you could turn the contents of the different threads into blogs... or even books... obviously you couldn't quote them verbatim (Martin has copyright in anything on this site) but you could tell the story, and reference the threads for people wanting the details. I'm sure you could paint some very interesting character portraits of the other contributors to the threads... and DS1 might be able to provide the illustrations :)

(actually, when is DS1 getting his own blog so we can read the TRUTH about living with you :p:D)
