Good luck today Dorastar xx
Susan, glad No1 is safe.
Vibes for your conversation with the mentors MG! Do come back and let us know all about it! :j
Busy busy here today, everything's rather snuck up on me! Got a friend coming round to lift pavings out for me, so need to do the final bits of digging (about an hour). Also need to make us tea, so rather shamefully I have little food in, so need to pop to the shops. And the washing up hasn't been done since Tuesday (but I am NOT going to get cross about that! Not right now anyway), so must do that.
And, of course, I'm working at home, so a full day's work in the middle! Oh, and I'm going to colleague's house on the other side of town for the afternoon - easy peasy, 10 minutes in the car - but Mr Daffs is taking the car somewhere else, which I didn't know when I arranged this... <sigh> So that'll be a good hour on the bus, or on the bicycle - well needed exercise I suppose!
Working all day tomorrow too, then going away for the weekend, so need to put a bed in the car etc - goodness knows when!
Need some time to stop and think
Perhaps I'll go on the bus to friend's house - won't give me exercise, but *will* give me an hour or two to sit with my notebook and sort my head out!
Have a good one today lovely folks xx0 -
Ooh, and congratulations Crickett! How did that happen??? Was that the universe in motion??0

Morning all
Good luck Dorastar
Sue, glad to hear it was nothing too serious with GS.
Crickett - wooooo! :T
The Universe is listening... I wrote my cheque yesterday and this morning I was offered some more extra work for my second job - will be claiming about £400 from them at the end of the month. It's a good startDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Back and flagging now, so I think I need to slow down and take it easy,

Goodness me Squizz! :T :T
I need to get writing that cheque I think! Perhaps if I ask for the amount i was aiming to save into my Patchwork Fund over the next 2 years (£10,000), then I could do something else with that £400 a month??
(or perhaps the first thing would be a car that didn't break down every 5 minutes :rotfl:)0 -
Do you know what... I have no idea how it happened?! Over the last few months I have been really economising and beginning to practise "living simply". I have not been buying stuff that I don't really need. And by doing that since Christmas my bank balance has been going up, and up and up.
I do think it is the Universe sending me a message.
I am recieving it, loud and clear!!

What a lovely surprise for you! If it's a message from the universe, it's all down to your own hard work by the sounds of it, well done you! :T :T Just goes to show how all those little changes can add up! What an inspiration to us all0

Susan, I am so pleased that it is "just" a virus. Hopefully rest will help him ot pick up.
MG - Mentor -an experienced person in a company or educational institution who trains and counsels new employees or students. Oxford Dictionary definition. Remember that some of these mentors are not experienced in the type of company that you are setting up so you need to draw from them the basics.ie how to organise, advertise etc. You need a mentor who can recognise the daily issues and teach you how to deal with them too. So take on board the bits that will help and choose to listen but leave the bits that dont.
Dorastar - good luck today with the meeting.
Crickett - well done on all of the hard work and reward.
Well, I am in the middle of a bit of excitement here so the idea of writing a cheque that is for a thing rather than money Lara seems to work. Anybody else would think I am mad but I am excited about something that is quite small but makes a big difference to my wellbeing. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Gosh cherisong, you certainly are being tantilisingly mysterious at the minute! :rotfl: I'm sure we all wouldn't think you are mad at all. Good luck!0
