Memorygirls - The Matrix Re-inspired

I've eaten a big frog today .... and posted on the other site for the first time.
Loving the energy on this thread at the moment and thanks to you all I have come out of my hibernation. I completely failed on my lent challenge and I now understand why. Instead of making my 5 item to-do list achievable, I made it 5 frogs which made it soooo scary I ended up like a bunny in headlights, paralysed with fear and so did nothing at all!
Also, during the winter the baggy clothes reappeared and were worn at home as a necessity to keep me warm and I'd become stuck wearing them. I am now back in my lovely colourful, flattering clothes and feel so much better for it.
I had some time away with my family over Easter which recharged my batteries, and since I've been back I've been chipping away at the jobs and amongst the other tasks been tackling a frog a day and at last feel as though I am getting somewhere.
To do lists are a bit like the magic porridge pot aren't they? As soon as you tick a number of things off, a larger number of things jump straight onto the list again .Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -

BTW - its just a dream innit
MG
That reminds me of where I used to work. They had a nominated Charity each year and each fundraising there would be enormous amounts of small change that had to be counted and bagged before banking......and who got that thankless task? Yep you guessed it. There was one event where they had thoughtfully bagged up the change for us but they'd failed to realise it had to be bagged according to the details on the money bags and I (and my colleague) ended up having to count and re-bag several hundred coins <weeps>
Mind you the walk to the bank was bad enough, small change don't half weigh a ton.
So MG if your dream comes true any plans on how to transport said money to the bank? You'd need a fork lift truck as my arms are strong but not THAT strong :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Oh dear, FW has inspired me to actually find out about my pension (lots of changes proposed/ being debated for our scheme at the moment) - totally confused now! :rotfl: It looks as if I'll have a choice of levels of payments, and a corresponding level of payment at the end.. of course all depending on how long I stay here and how much I earn.. have a bit of pension from previous job as well. How am I supposed to plan 30-40 years ahead??? Aargh!
Wrote my cheque from the Universe today - it's in my drawer at work under a packet of noodles (noodles are my saviour at times so seems appropriate)Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
MG Garden updates are not boring
I love reading how excited ds1 is getting
well myself and ds2 have spent 2 hours in the green house pottering around, we have planted the hanging basket with flowers and put out the front, the tomato's in another hanging basket hung from a bar in the greenhouse, wonder what other veg we can plant in those? as we are running out of space,
DS2 has separated all the tomato plants and they are now in separate pots, the cucumbers have been planted into bigger pots, so has the celeriac, run out of pots now so it will be a trip to somewhere to get more plus more compost. we have beet chard or something but not sure whether they need to be separated and put in separate pots (don't know what it is to be honest, ) and radish growing lovely in a tub, not sure whether these need separating either.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -

Sun still shining and builder lined up to do roof next week, family all had haircuts for weekend 'party' for niece - requiring trip to London and travelodge stayover.
Universe might have answered the £100 I asked for for the roof repairs - work has asked dh to do overtime on the Sunday when we get back and at double pay - so should be about £60!!! plus he is still owed about £130 that they miscalculated last month (and he gets paid next Friday)Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Yeah I think it was more tiredness rather than anything else as he had a very broken nights sleep and went to bed half an hour later than normal, so it will be shower and early night tonight I think.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Garden updates are lovely MG and no, not like baby talk to us childfree ladies. I often feel like saying to baby bores 'How would you like it if I talked about willies at you for 20 minutes. You wouldn't? It's just that that's my favourite topic and your baby is clearly yours:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Be gone with you'.
Had a great day shopping and Cheri, going to Majorca to see my old pals from repping days. Got some nice bits and plenty of cash left.
I dont do the annual savings bit as I dont have a hoose or car, but I think it's a great idea if you do. My savings are growing for my buffer and holiday funds and sent my CV off to a few agencies today. X'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
