Okay, am plum tuckered folks. Finished glossing the shelves so these can go up in dd's room when they are dried out. Plus... the first coat has gone on the garage wall at the bottom of our garden. What a beatch of a job, even with Mr Thrifty's help.... but it now looks brill :j. Onwards and upwards.
Looking forward to a nice bath and a glass of red later on tonight. Hugs to all, Thriftyxxx0 -
Back from camping hols and had a fab old time. Campsite was so relaxed and we had free reign over the play areas every day until we had worn icklies out. Used the voucher from Bitsy Beans to help get into Warwick and had a seriously long day there, by the end of the day ds could barely speak never mnind walk! Kids made friends with all the others on campsite and have come home filthy but happy.
Our wedding anniversary today and we are now slobbing on sofas until it is cool enough for us to be bothered clearing out car.
Have skimmed through all the posts and the declutter in August sounds good for us - am going to work out a plan of attack tonight somewhere between scrubbing mucky children and watching casualty.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Ok so have fetched DD back from her outing with dad. He had yet again drawn her into the conversation about how he is trying to be nice to me and how I am the one who doesn't want to talk and blah blah blah, got himself lost and was back half an hour after the centre closed. Tha manger of the centre was kind enough to hang around with me.
But you know what, this wasn't my problem, I don't need to get wound up by it, I can just let it go. I am absolutely shattered thou so another glass of water and little rest is in place. I have had a chat with DD about grown up problems and how she can leave it for us to sort out and not to worry about it. Seemed to work."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Afternoon all. Fantasia Big hugs. wont comment further as posts deleted but I am thinking about you. Here if you need to shout. Aye, not sure exactly what's up because I missed it - but hugs and calm sensible decision making thoughts to you Fantasia.
Here at TMIF Hovel it's chaos. We've been decorating the bedroom today, and each time the roller touched the wall, a bit more old paint peeled off. Not sure what to do about it. It's carnage here.
My chosen bathroom fitter is coming on Wednesday to poke through the catalogues with me and help me choose. I am still stuck between shower bath and proper shower. We'll see.
!!!!!!'s mum won 4 tickets to the local kids farm, so we;re all going there tomorrow. Might be fun! xx0 -
(((Fantasia)))
Have missed the post but sending positive vibes.
Happy to help in any way I/we can.

Thanks for the heads up on AF olives and beans MG. I have now placed an order (including recycled loo paper!), but like you was in need of lentils. I also want plain couscous, which is my main comfort food... So actually probably best avoided!
Need to sort out ordering a few more things online while languishing on the sofa, but I'm certainly making progress.
I hope you're going to be posting more recipes on your blog...0 -

You can buy a primer to seal the old paint. There are several makes available. If you don't, you will never get a good resultI've been there in a previous house - 10 layers of wallpaper and a coat of unstable paint underneath. It's where I learned to plaster with the help of 4 kids, a long haired dog and 2 cats. I have every sympathy and will be burning sacrifices to the God of painters - whoever he may be. I think Crom wouldn't mind standing in. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: He's never struck me down for taking his name in vain - so far
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -

Mr F has set me up a blog with all the "diet recipes" - photo's recipes the full whammy which he is going to "gift" to the Matrix when he gets home again.
100 days worth of a different lunch and dinner every day - its lovely, although the photographing the meals is making me very very portion conscious.:D
So there will be recipes a go-go. If you are wondering why a time delay - I'm writing and others are testing the recipes to check they are accurate IYSWIM?
