What a lovely sunny morning - out into the garden to pull some radish and onions to use for lunch - then on here to read you positive lot.

After that burst of happiness - its going to be a perfect day - so hope by tonight you are singing this.

Play this and listen - a real DFW day is described in the lyrics.

Greenbee, all up to date with that here. You take care and remember we're all here to help when the 'ug's' set in.

    MG, love it!

OK now I am really confused - just had my Tax Award Notice through from my adjustments made after I stopped paying for DS2's childcare.

Long story short - credits down by £35 per week for two weeks then back up to the original amount minus the £11 they were paying for DS2's childcare.

So despite being told on the phone that my credits would be going down by £35 they will now only be going down £11 (£11 that I was paying the playgroup so net result being that I will be no better and no worse off)

Still it did hammer home the fact that my budget is far too tight for comfort and it would only take one unexpected blip to throw us into penury.

It is all just so confusing being told one thing and written another - lets just say I will report back on Friday when I see the actual amount that ends up in my Bank Account.

But !!!!! Yay!!!!!! Our food budget survives !!

  • Mornin' to all, lovely sunny day here and dd decluttered off to Saturday job. Not sure what today will bring but war has been declared on slugs - pesky critters have eaten two of my courgette plants - how dare they need to eat :rotfl:.

Good news about the Edinburgh interview Souk :T.

MG can you query why the credits went down by £35 - their mistake maybe <shruggy shoulder icon>

Greenbee - have a gentle weekend, thinking of you.

    Have a lovely day all.

Just had a girl friend in for a coffee - well she has a glass of water. Turns out she has signed up for a 100 days L******life" plan to lose her excess weight for Christmas.

She is full of the joys of spring - but I have admit the shake didn't look or smell terribly appetising to me (but then as you guys know I LOVE food) .................... but here's the killer. ITS £66 PER WEEK!!!!

OMG!!! I don't spend that on feeding US ALL!!!

Still its what she wants to do - so good on her. Me I am sticking to my gradually reducing plan of loads of good interesting and mega cheap food instead.

Wonder which one of us will last the journey - both looking to shed 3 stone by Christmas.

    Morning all

Delegated lots of my errands to DH this morning so managed to tick lots of things off my list :D

Off to take DS1 to cricket now and do a food shop.

    Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning all (just). Mr Moo had me up in the night so took him for whizz around the village then came back had a cuppa and went back to bed. Not long got up and the sun is cracking the flags.BAH what a wasted morning. I hate impromptu lie ins such a waste.

Great news on the interview Souk. Greenbee, I agree very much with you on that one having had a very big scare and resulting treatment at the age of 25. I had to insist on a test though as I was only 24 at the outset and they said I was too young but I knew that something was wrong. They caught it in the nick of time. You will be ok and as Souk says we will all be here for the ug days.

MG - love that song and it is so much better than any other version I have ever heard.

Right - where should I start? Washing, or a trip to the prom with my flask and book - WHAT? I am on my holidays!
