Sorry MG I am totally useless at stuff like that
willow - Never be too proud, it's specifically there for people who want to work but are struggling to find one. You're not looking at benefits as a lifestyle choice but they are a means to an end xx
Busy day today, going to start tackling some of the things on my list. Weather is lovely here although it's predicted to rain for the rest of the week. Had better get back hedge trimmed today then!!!
Off to take DD to pre school so will check in later. Happy 4th July to those celebratingI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

MG, can't personally help you with your dilemma - self-confessed techno-dinosaur but.. I will ask oh later on tonight.
Okay, spring onions, lettuce, beetroot and courgettes seeds sowed. Taking 5 before going out to paint fence. Lovely and cool out in the garden, bet I am not saying that next time I pop on.
Really must do some fly-lady, house is  but it is much more fun playing outside in the garden.0 -
Thanks for all the comments
I'll look into it. I went to walk around town this morning handing my CV out and asking around for jobs and The Body Shop have a vacancy so I handed my CV to the manager but I have to wait til the end of this month to find out if I get the job as she's going on holiday. I'm gonna trawl through all the job sites later today when I've done the washing and tidied up a bit. Hope everyone's okay.

Afternoon Matrix.
Not been around for that much this weekend - and feeling pretty rubbish at the moment. I am at work, though not very productive, if truth be told. I am trying to give myself things to look forward to... but there is a big old pit of blackness all around me at the moment and I can't see through it to see things to look forward to, if that makes any sense at all. So, I will keep taking the pills, keep trying to be positive and keep going. I might go into the garden when I get home. But then again... I might just go straight to bed!I really hate feeling like this.

Oh Cricket, you sound so down today, I just want to send you some positive vibes and hope you can catch them. Have a big hug while you are at it. And when you get home if you feel like going to bed then go to bed. It will get better, Monday's are never the best day are they?Sealed pot Challenge 2011 member No 1241 - Final total £154.21

Yes, I know how you feel.... it does get better, and you have to learn to allow yourself to feel like this for a little while.
Remember I said a lot of Drs sign you off work for a bit - this is why xx
Have you seen Occ. Health yet? Did they suggest anything.
The positive is that you have told your boss and she will understand why you're a little less productive than usual.
Also remember, you're poorly. Your brain is healing itself, but while it does this you cannot expect to be 100% perky.
re you finding the praying useful? If so keep at it. I am sure the Boss doesn't mind you grumbling to Him a little xx0 -
MG, I have to admit to being stumped a bit by my new word stuff. Have you thought about adding a page into your blog for the recipes? Did you specifically want to do them seperately for a reason. If you have a page on the blog then people can access them as they want to I think. I will have a look next weekend and see if I can have a play about if you like but dont want to promise too much
Willow, no more to add other than the idea is to help you over a bad patch. Sounds like you are already on the right tracks but if you get a good adviser in the JC then they can also refer you to courses and give you advice about things that you might not think about.
Crickett - oh dear a black dog day. Sometimes you need to just let them happen and float along with it. Can you take a walk to somewhere nice at lunch time to get some fresh air. Maybe you could sit on a bench and watch the world go by. Not anything that will make the feelings go away but space might be well for you and some time to have peace. If you want to go to bed then do so. Have you got a counsellor yet? Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Thanks for the support ladies. Occupational Health appointment is on Thursday. I am hoping they will be able to suggest something and refer me to a Counsellor then. TMIF, yes, the praying did help... but my new found friend is on holiday for two weeks, and when she gets back, I am off on leave myself. I didn't take any time for myself this morning... but I think I might do so tomorrow. I can completely understand why people get signed off for a while to let the pills take effect. Though it is useful to know that what I am experiencing is normal!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440

Really not happy right now, got mum and her partner pressuring me to get a job. I really can't look much harder than I already am, they're now complaining that I'm costing them too much money. I can't just magic a job vacancy out of nowhere ¬_¬Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0

Quick question for ladies who do storecupboards. Is this a good place to buy from in bulk? Are the prices good http://www.shortersclub.co.uk/
I've had a quick look and TBH their prices don't look that good to me. I've used Approved Food and also use the short-date food stalls on our local big market and with only one exception (a dodgy tin of soup, but that wasn't even close to its date!) I've always been delighted with what I've had from there. Sometimes you do have to work out what is available, and then adjust meals around what you have though!
Crickett Sorry to hear you're having a black cloud day. A someone else said try to get out in the sunshine (if you have any there) for while - and if you can spend a bit of time out in your garden later so much the better. What would make you happiest, right now, as you're reading this, if you could do anything at all? Now, is there any way you can get even a little of the way towards that? TMIF makes a good point also about you being poorly - you wouldn't be beating yourself up at feeling a little lethargic if you had a bad cold would you? well this is the same sort of thing, cut yourself some slack forn a while!
Willow in common with many others here I have always paid my taxes & National Insurance. I have also had a couple of periods of time when I have claimed (as it was called then) unemployment benefit. I personally have no issues whatsoever with having to claim something like that - as I have paid in all these years, and so if I need to make a withdrawal so be it. It's like a savings account - or an insurance policy, there if you need it. From your perspective, if you feel uncomfortable with the idea as you've not really paid much "in" yet then think of it like an overdraft - you're dipping into it now in the short term but wil be repaying the debt later by working and paying your taxes.
I need to get myself a list together for this week I think - my clients want me to switch my second day this week to Friday so I have to make sure I remember that! I have some Avon stuff to get through, andlso some planning stuff for the Great British Beer Festival which is coming up alarmingly fast! We have the list of beers for our bar now - I have been given the job of working out where they are all being put on the stillage.
