Morning Matrix! The sun is out, the blue sky is looking glorious and I am feeling goooood. It might have something to do with the MASSIVE earl grey tea I have beside me, but I feel much better today. I have had a lovely breakfast (yogurt, oats, apple and berries and a fruit salad) and i am ready to get this day started. I don't have any meetings today, so that means I can blitz my to do list and really get on with stuff. My lunch is Cheese, coleslaw and beetroot rolls with an apple and a banana and I have no idea what tea is going to be tonight. Something vegetable-y I think. :D

    ((((HUGS)))) to Kittikins.

Positive vibes to one and all. See y'around! :D

MG : Congrats on your successful lecture. Am I allowed to be jealous of your DS1? I would be over the moon if I was going to the NASA do.

Dorastar : positive vibes for the hospital. Let us know how you get on.

Crickett : the difference between your posts is stupendous. It does look as if your heart is singing about your new project. Is it possible to switch off your emotions at work and just regard it as a necessary but temporary evil? Easier said than done, I know. :(

Marru : Perhaps we could just pass shovel to Kittikins who needs it. I really do like the nice yellow and black digger here. More classy than a shovel. :rotfl:

Kittikins : Lots of hugs and you can have that nice JCB for as long as you need it. In all seriousness, you need some knowledgeable advice on what he can and can't do. I would think it would be very reasonable for you to insist on short meetings till she gets to know him again, a year is a long time - would the shine wear off the idea if you pushed him the other way? I mean if you pushed him to make a regular visits?

Lionheartedgirl : Love the greyhounds. Those sad eyes!

Well done to everyone and hugs to those who need them.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

Kittikins your situation is not far away from mine before I stopped him seeing her. He then due to that took me to court, well the rest you know.

He would camp in my house and not leave until I would have to tell him to Foff.

I would suggest that he would have to keep to set meetings e.g. once a month and hand over in a neutral place. (We used motorway services due to logistics). How old is your DD? If she is old enough to walk from one car to another without you meeting all the better.

And if it doesn't work then you need to weigh the pros and cons and take it from there. If you want to PM me you are very welcome.

Kittikins - Hugs honey, your exOH sounds like a complete @rse :( I've no advice but I am sorry to see he's really juvenile behaviour.

MG - Well done on your standing ovation :D

Marru - Dearie me ExOH is heading for Down Under the rate he's digging :T

MrsHicks - Hope H is OK xxx

Clootie - As long as the decision is the right one for you that's the best thing. Hope possible redundancies won't affect where you are now x

EH - sorry no culinary inspiration from me :o Not feeling my cooking mojo today :o:o

Crickett - Glad to hear you sounding much happier :)

Sun is sort of out despite a coolish breeze. Not going to have much time to get stuck into anything really today. DD has nursery visit mid afternoon which basically eats into half my afternoon so I shall be lots of little list making. There are a few jobs that need doing around the house and well.......I love my husband but when it comes to actually doing what he says he's going to do.......well months can go by. So if I want these jobs doing I need to get them done myself.

No exercise done so far today so I might stick the iPod on and have a dance around the kitchen :rotfl:

    Have a fantastic day everyone.

I am trying very hard to do just that Triciaxx... I came into work this morning with the attitude that I am here to do a job, not be friendly to colleagues who appear to loathe me, so I am putting my head down and getting on with it. They can have a taste of their own medicine. And in between, I am doing everything I can to get my future plans closer.

  • Well another day at work - just counting down the weeks until 1st August when I hopefully go back to three days a week and can concentrate on things I enjoy for a change.
Just have to share this story with you all too - yesterday when I popped out for my lunch break to get some fresh air, I literally saw someone throwing money away - she was walking down the street, picking through a handful of change and throwing all the coppers away - It was all I could do not to walk behind her and pick them all up - but why would anyone do that? - its beyond me!
Have a great day everyone whatever you are doing and positive vibes to you all :)
P.S - Thank you Marru for the lovely 'welcome' !

Just dashing in to say EH, I make a lentil stew out of green or puy lentils.

Put lentils in pan with cold water and bring to boil. Boil rapidly for 10 mins, then add veg stock (I use the marigold bouillon powder), sliced onions, carrots, celery and sweet potato. Simmer until lentils are cooked. "Mash" the sweet potato into the liquid if you like your gravy thick. When I serve it I put in a splash of olive or hemp seed oil to give a creamier texture and a splash of soy sauce.

Sorry I can't give quantities, I'm a by eye cook.

Red lentils work really well in spicey lentil soup. Give me a shout if you would like the recipe for that.

Must go and get dressed ready for my session at RDA. Back later on.
