"If you are dieting and cooking can we have the recipes?"
I feel a recipe book coming on:D - or maybe should compile a shopping list/ diet plan/ recipe book tutorial that people can opt into.
What do you think? Would you guys be interested? Make sure you subscribe to the bloggy blog and I can keep you in the loop.
.............. All this is dependant on me ACTUALLY losing weight on the recipes though isn't it?

Do you really have to ask that after your "hunners and hunners" of emails :rotfl::rotfl:
Tenmah - I don't suppose a TENS machine would be any benefit? I always find massage and manipulation to be the best thing (the latter being done by an osteo the former gets done by my H).I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

First job of the day accomplished - decided what we are going to eat today.
Breakfast : Florentine omlettes, Roast tomatoes in balsamic dressing ( we are going to have brunch in the sun)
Lunch: Janssons temptation with a huge salad from our garden leaves topped with roasted peppers
Dinner: Steeped Salmon with lentil and lemon salad
The plan is to use up storecupboard ingredients and garden produce but still keep the fat low so that the weight gradually slides off. I guess the closest plan would be SW Green, but in the spirit of NOT going on a diet and NOT spending money on a class I am going to do neither.
Sensible, good food, lots of varied carbs and fun coming up with new recipes instead.

Massage I have from a massage therapist - once a week for ongoing treatment of my chronic condition (postural stuff) and additional sessions if necessary (e.g. Running injuries). Physiotherapy for emergencies (falls, random acute relapses).
Sounds like the diet is going to work well MGmaybe you could set up a competition on your blog... First person to lose on stone, two stone etc... And then some kind of incentive to keep the weight off... And maybe sharing of ideas/recipes? One of my favourites is stuffed peppers - stuffed with either rice, quinoa or millet with lots of veggies, cherry toms and feta. I make 4 at a time in the SC or batch cook, as they freeze and reheat well.

Thanks Bitsy, she does have a TENS machine but it doesn't touch her pain. I was thinking along the lines of Deep Heat, but she doesn't like the smell so i didn't know if there was some sort of 'home recipe' any of you use just to get the arm working again this morning. It might have righted itself by the time she wakes up, but could be a bit stiff and as she already has so much pain in her life, I was hoping something might work on it quickly!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Thanks for this. I probably didn't explain myself very well, she has a chronic pain condition so has a massage (from me daily and from a McTimeney chiroprator weekly). She has also tried every other therapist type thing you could ever think of :rotfl:
As I said she is already on morphine for her condition but I think she might have slept on her shoulder in a funny position, so I just wondered if there was a home remedy any of you used such as deep heat, but without the smell!!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Hi Cheri, just checked - there is comment from you but you are not on the subscribers list. Not sure what went wrong but this explains why you don't get e-mail notifications.

I have a cream made from chillies (look on health food/natural product websites) or you can rub chillies on - which certainly takes your mind of things
If you have a contact number for the pain clinic or whoever does her pain management, they might be able to help. I'd also suggest (as long as she doesn't have digestive problems) looking at whether spicy food might help with the chronic problems. Chillies, turmeric, cinnamon and garlic are all supposed to help.
ETA - cream is fiery jack rubbing cream. Or try freeze gel. Or try alternating cold packs and hot water bottles (no more than three minutes for cold apparently)0 -
Loving the new blog.
Cheri what a lovely story. I adore rainbows and had some crystals hung from my window to attract the light and cast rainbows round the room but I am going to find some marbles and fill a beautiful bowl with them.
I have always loved this song by the late Harry Chapin, which is food for thought
