    How are you doing Gemzie?

Not sure if I'm honest, I hope things are on the up but won't really know until next weekend at the earliest.

I feel an utter failure as I've deferred my exam to October, as I've been too busy with work and too stressed to revise :(

It looks ace MG. Look forward to reading loads over the next few months.

    Parsnip, congratulations. Rest and enjoy.

Well workwise, that was our busiest Saturday ever so out for a well deserved drink with one of the boys later.

Ladies I read all the 'exciting life stuff' with interest. We all need to do our laundry, cook, change the bed etc but I do expect an exciting life and so have worked hard to create one. I'm happy to be the one making the plans just to make sure stuff happens. It's not crazy all the time but God I need it to be some of the time! I totally agree though that doing some things means we dont do others. We just need to know what's worth sacrificing for us and what isn't. X

Send a piece of that cake it looks lush :)

It was - but last piece has just been demolished by the boys before bed. Well it was a cream cake and they are never quite the same the next day:rotfl:

So proud though - I had but one slice and relished every mouthful but didn't need to have another.

Off to plan what to cook tomorrow ......................... from teh stores naturally!!!

Now I don't know the ins and outs of whats going on in your life but why feel a failure for deferring your exam? If you can't give it the attention it deserves at the moment then it's not failure to shelve it. No point struggling to revise if you're stressed and tired.

Gemmzie - Don't worry - you decided to postpone, it was likely the right thing to do if you are stressed and life is taking you over at the moment, but remember, you can't do EVERYTHING at once, so take it easy on yourself., and as Bitsy says - Have a hug x

MG - had a look at your home page - you are just amazing with how you come up with these ideas. Love the marbles. I wish I lived next door to you so I could just sit and talk to you and learn things!!

MG, (stamping feet) I like your blog but it wont let me subscribe. It tells me that my email address isnt an email address. I have to say that I much prefer blogger as I can add blogs to my dashboard and follow then I get updates to show when a new post is made. I really dont understand the kind of blog that you and Firewalker have so any tips on how to subscribe and get updates would be helpful then I cant miss when you both post.

Hi Cheri, I did subscribe fine - entered my e-mail address and it got me to a form and then I am in...I suspect that on mine subscribing works similarly - after that you receive an e-mail when there is a new post.

MG's blog got me thinking, not so much about a simple life, but about Life and its Simple Pleasures, and I have discovered one that I havent done properly for about 25 years, at least until this last week. And that is the ability to breathe correctly.
Remember to breathe. As silly as it sounds, many of us don't take enough slow, deep breaths throughout the day. Taking the time to enjoy the feel of air filling your lungs and feeling of oxygen coursing through your body is a reminder of life's most basic pleasure--life itself.
I'd honestly forgotten how this felt, till the ciggies went. The sheer pleasure of filling my lungs, and today running upstairs with the dogs, 100 steps to be exact without puffing, and having to stop because of hyperventilating. Heaven, seriously xx
    ETA Happy Birthday Rtandon xx
