  • Thank you all ladies... you have been a great help this morning.

I have decided to forget the one woman pity party and get on with things. So I have done the menu and shopping list for this week, made plans to do the Aldi run this evening and then the market tomorrow morning for some nicer bits. I have also made plans for hubby and I to go to the movies tonight. We will have dinner at home and then go and watch X-men 1st Class (he collects the comics and we have an extensive collection of comic book based movies) with some popcorn and a big old drink. Stuff it. We don't go out very often and it will be a nice treat.

I have also sorted out my MP3 player. I am now the proud possessor of 2. One has modern music on it and the other one has Classical music on it. So I can listen to whatever music I feel like depending on my mood and I won't get the very odd occurrence of Green Day followed by Faure! :D It is slightly surreal and very weird! I have plugged myself into my modern music MP3 Player, and once I have finished this mail I am going to get on with some work. I feel faintly embarrassed that I have not done any proper work since I got in this morning, but they get more than they pay me for any other time, so stuff it.

Thanks again ladies. You have all been lovely. :D

And yes Claire... you have changed LOADS since you first posted on here. Positivity totally ROCKS!

    Right caught up,

Had a quick clean through, Both boys are off today, my alarm clock never went off so I never woke up till 8 , ds1 hurt his back in the nursery yesterday so he is very stiff, so I told him to stay home and rest.

I'm card making today for the Farmers market tomorrow, had a few requests, hopefully ds2 will help as it is supposed to be his hobby :) at the moment they are arguing over the xbox.

    First though shower.

  • Yes I agree Claire - you've changed loads since I first "met" you.

Most of the time you exude confidence now! Very very noticeable :D Be proud xx

Just a quickie before I start work

have e-mailed the app home (yes - all done on line now apparantly) & have filled in all except the bit where it says - why are you so wonderful for the job & I also have to attach a CV - which, at present, doesn;t exist. So will be busy over the weekend & if it's not too cheeky, will be popping on for advice

PS - was over on the other side last night & I keep forgetting how good it is - must do that more often
There's a section on CVs there... have a look at it :)

Crickett - don't let anyone knock your confidence. We all believe in you, and you believe in yourself, and eventually the people who doubt you will realise that they were wrong.

Suppose I should do some work, but the thing in front of me isn't very appealing and I'm COLD!

Well I have just made chocolate lollies :D You can keep your magnums etc these are like frozen chocolate blamange (sp?) and are LUSH. Pity I have to wait til they are cool enough to freeze so probably won't get to sample until tomorrow.

Have potted on my 7 pepper plants, bought some flat leafed parsley and some basil seeds so me and mindee had fun planing up these items this morning :)

I am really enjoying all the positive thoughts and no Fantasia I don't think its bigheaded of you to say. I really ought to take a leaf out of your book.

So in the interests of self improvement I have started doodling a mind map about the abundance in my life. I had written it as a list and stuck it up on the kitchen cabinet BUT it looked very dull and boring and as such I didn't look at it often enough. So I have a brief outline of how I want it to look and will draw it properly later.

I also decided enough is enough with my weight. I ain't happy with things as they are but if I am not persistent and keep making the effort things are never gonna change. So whilst I was in the shower this morning I practiced Paul McKenna technique of imagining a bar of chocolate mixed with......welll I'd rather not spoil your lunch but suffice to say thinking about it was enough to make me gag  I spend most of the morning running round after kids and the cat so not much time for visualisation time but then I realised if I can do the PM thing in the shower I can visualise anything else whilst I am washing my hair :) So that is something I need to incoporate into my daily routine.

And from now on the "woe is me" posts are outta here. It's my own gremlin making me compare myself to all of you and it's about time it stopped. OK some of the stuff about accounting (what the heck IS forensic accounting anyway :o), marketing yourself, academic stuff goes right over my head (and on the other side) but that doesn't make me stupid or small (gremlin talking there) and I need, like Fantasia to celebrate my inner diva :D So if you see me posting anything remotely like that feel free to give me a virtual slap round the face and a "pull yourself together girl".

Sorry for that rather long post :o

Crickett - I soooooo agree about the music thing. It's a tool I need to employ more often than I do, even if I just have a quick boogie round the kitchen it's better than me reaching for the biscuit tin :o:o

Kittikins - <gives her a massive kick up the 'arris> You ARE worth it xx Why not post rather than lurk, I find posting helps me absorb the positive stuff by osmosis LOL
