Morning Matrix. MG, I love the idea of a go get Friday, but I think I might need some help. Hope your time in the coffee shop is as worthwhile today as it was yesterday. I would love to do that myself... have a table, a big cup of something hot and caffeinated (tea in my case!) and just get on with whatever I want to do. Unfortunately, I can't do that... because my boss would have something to say about me leaving my desk. :(

I am not in an overwhelmingly positive place today. In fact I would say I am in the opposite place. I had a VERY upsetting thing happen to me last night, and combined with something that happened the night before, well... I just feel dreadful. I don’t really want to go into detail but suffice to say something like this happens to me every time I begin to feel like I might have some self-esteem/self-confidence creeping back. Needless to say, I now feel like it is at rock bottom. :(:(:(:(:(

Right... now i have been wallowing in self pity quite enough, I had better put my game face on and get ready for the day.

Sorry to hear about last night Crickett......
I always find that having a growling attitude day helps me - I just keep thinking - Stuff you - I'm better than you as I don't have to stoop to your level. I'm not trying to feel superior but just get through the day & it usually works....

And you have your faith - lean on that - & remember you can come on here & rant all you like

    Hope the day gets better

I've been grumpy for the ENTIRE day, and think I *may* just have cured myself of it with an hour in the garden, planting a tray of £1 sugar snap peas, a few herbs, and giving everything a good water :T Feel SO much better - what is it about having your hands in the soil that's good for the soul? I love it :T

I quite agree. I think being in the garden wonderful and I've just had a very pleasant 15 mins in a wee patch of weak sunshine hanging out the washing and I can hear the kids at wrap around playing, birds are singing and I realised how lucky I am to live where I do. It might not be my dream house in the sticks but its a fairly quiet cul de sac in the 'Burbs. Made me feel quite content. Here's hoping that feeling will last :o

Cheery - my dad reckons that his home grown veg is the most expensive available locally...

I don't find most of my home grown much of a MSE exercise when I factor in the cost of compost etc. I've only got space for one compost bin so making enough of my own compost isn't feasible.

Just popping my head in to say I'm still here, just not having a great time at the moment, hope to be back properly soon

Have a hug Gemmzie, sorry you're not in a good place. Sending you love and vibes that you'll see the light at the end of the tunnel.

crickett - I know its hard when someone is knocking your confidence but please try to remember their put downs are only a reflection of themselves rather than actually being about you. Or as others might say "don't let the b**tards grind you down". Hugs my lovely xxx

CM - If you want a 2 page cv format, I can supply you with one ...

Cricket - You are so worth it, follow CM advice. Alternatively, focus on the fact that it is Friday and the sun is shining. Whatever happened, is there anyway you can change your reaction to it? If you can it may change the outcome for you.

For me .... frogs to go - sorting business cards / workshop venue / replying to lovely people coming on the workshop / frogs munched - skim read a book on self employed tax made easy / read another chapter on SUMO (shut up and move on) book ... confession - still in pjs oops, time to crack on

    Ang - positive vibes!

    Happy friday folks :)

All I can try and do today is not fall asleep at my desk!

I am so tired - there's a lot of people off with a virus, so I would like to have avoided that really...

Yawn...! Give me a prod at lunchtime please!

Sorry to hear you've had a bad 24 hrs Crickett... not need for this one to be as bad though :) xx

Good luck to all who need it, and a few (hugs) for those who want them xx

I don't seem to be able to catch up with you all as often as I'd like, so apologies if I've missed anyone.

Bitsy Beans - it sounds like you've already cheered up lots, but I just wanted to say that I've got a huge amount of admiration for you and your job. Besides the fact that I can emphasise now that I am on my on with BBB all day, that although it's lovely and heart warming, it's bloomin hard work. I also think you're looking after and helping to care for and raise children (and not just your own) it's the most important job in the world, so well done you.

Clootie - Good luck with the job application.

Cricket - It's been lovely feeling the 'spring' in your posts recently and you've worked so hard, well done on getting your portfolio sent off. I'm sorry to hear you've had a couple of bad experiences, try not to let it get to you too much. I also wanted to say that our longed for son was eventually conceived through IVF, so if you ever feel you need to ask any questions, or pick someones brains then please just give me a shout, I know how hard and lonely it can all be.

Ang - positive vibes for your interview today, I am sure there will be lots of energy from all over the matrix flowing your way.

Parsnip - I hope you are busy nurturing your little seedling at this moment in time, looking forward to hearing all the details.

Cherisong - hope your money gets to where you need it very soon

Fantasia - 6 days, amazing well done you.

MG - Incase I can't get online tomorrow then wishing you a very Happy Birthday. It made my heart sing to hear how you described having your two boys and being a single mother has been the making of you. You said something along the lines of you would have to wait to see whether you have done a good job at raising them. I'm sorry but I think there's no need to wait, they both sound amazing to me, it always amazes me when you tell us some of the things DS1 comes out with, I would be proud if my boy turns out anything like him. The love, laughter and education you are offering your boys is outstanding. Enjoy your coffee today, and I agree see it as in investment as well as a treat, you seem to use the time so productively.

Someone asked if you could give an example of a days mind map, I am struggling with my 'lists' at the moment, if you could show us how you do this it would be great. Also I think Firewalker asked how you your guided meditation works, the thought of feeling like I've had 3 hours extra sleep has left me drooling, so spill the beans if you can.

Love to you all, I hope you all have a great Friday.

I think I will have to start reading from here and give up on the last 2 days - 4 pages! I've skimmed and send positive vibes to all who need them, rounds of applause to everyone for all you are achieving, virtual hugs (dodgy if you prefer) to anyone who wants one.

Me, I've been bottling elderflower wine from last year, starting some for this year, walking in a lovely country park not far from home, birdwatching, duck feeding, giving my herbs a good haircut, batch baking, re-reading Mindstore for the first time in a few years. a bit of crochet and a teeny bit of housework. :rotfl:

Have a good day, folks.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

Well done Fantasia, keep it up love.

Wishing you well at the interview tlawd. Nothing wrong with being cheeky, if you dont ask you dont get.

Souk, I really hope that you have a good night. And that he is the man of your (for tonight) dreams.

Can I just say (keeping the theme going from CM)............ Clairewop, each day your posts get more and more vibrant for me. You seem to be radiating confidence compared to when you first came on here. The amount of support and lovely things that you say to people is definitely at the top of the pile. Not sure if you realise it yourself but I would suggest that you have a read back of some of your posts from the early days and I bet that you will see a difference in them. Just felt the need to say what kept jumping off the page at me.

Do you really see that? wow, I don't think I've changed that much
