Flying visit ladies, will read back later. Wanted to say thank you for the positive vibes. Today was fab. I wasn't doing a presentation in the normal sense of the word but I can now tell you all that I was presenting a group of young people that I have been working with to (deep breath) The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Lady Camilla as part of a private meeting during the Royal Opening of the 4th Assembly. It went really well. Shook their hands (all of them). Laughed raucously at Prince Phillip (a little to loudly) and talked to Camilla about loving living in Wales.
Just back to hotel room to change and then back to office. See you all later ladies
WOW well done :T:T:T
Cheery - glad scary meeting went well
Fantasia - Well done on day 4 :T:T:T
Sorry I missed giving vibes etc, had a busy day and only quickly popped on earlier. Feel in a funny mood today, must be the hormones
Just read on ML's FB status that gas and elec prices are going up. Again. I want to swear VERY LOUDLY but since there are small persons about I shall resort myself to a very loud sigh and a mutter under my breath.
We've both been spending a small fortune this week which isn't very goodand the whole mindful eating has not only fallen off the wagon it got crushed by the wheels
Back to square one I go. Again.
Someone give me a slap and tell me to get a gripI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Cheri, I did drop what I was doing at exactly 11.00 this morning and sent waves/energy. Well done - it is a responsible thing to do.
So we (the Matrix people) have done this one - I wondered when are we going to get to Royalty. Mmmm - what next? Hollywood, may be? Or have we done this one as well and as usual I missed it.

Oh dear - been missing for a few weeks now. Quite poorly with an infection, but the third lot of antibiotics seem to have worked (fingers crossed). The bug cleared just in time for me to apend - oh joy!!!! - a few days in hospital for further spinal surgery. It was really tough this time - very painful but I'm on the mend now.
Have just about caught up with this thread and lots of things have been happening on here as usual. Cigarettes have been given up - wow, that's really tough; royalty has been met; reports written; desks decorated; etc. Brilliant!!!!!!!!!:T:T:T:T
Several people in need of hugs. Hang in there girls - nothing is for ever.
At the moment I'm taking things slowly trying to let myself heal but I shall get on with my tasks again soon

Wow - Cheri - what an exciting day, and well done to you for it all going well! I hope you've given yourself a huge :T and are going to have a  or two tonight?! We can send you all the positive vibes in the world but it is you, and you alone, who has put in the hard work and dealt with the stress to carry today off so smoothly.
Another one for a big pat on the back will be Fantasia then - well done to you too! You're doing so well, and I can't believe you'd not realised what a huge Frog you chomped when you decided that you were going to become a non-smoker.
Bitsy All is not lost with the mindful eating thing - how about keeping a food diary for a few days to remind yourself what it is all about? Might be enough to give you the incentive that if you go to "just eat" you stop and think first. You're not going back to square one at all, just continuing from where it went wrong. Crickett the same for you - and well done on stopping what you have recognised as a binge before it ran its course, that must have been tough. Sounds like you need to sit down and have a think back to what was going on ahead of it though to see if you can find the trigger - then you will know the danger signs. Well done also for the effort with Cowbag - sometimes its the hardest thing in the world to do the right thing knowing that you will get not so much as a thank you. (Isn't her getting married at this point just to a degree locking the stable door after the horse has bolted, too?!)
Sunflower! Do you need another (gentle) kick or are you getting those frogs chomped now?!
I've been and done the trip to the bank (walking) and my pedometer told me when I got back that with the Avon stuff this morning as well I have walked just over 9km, or nearly 13,000 steps! :j (<---- this is what I am NOT doing now because I'm too shattered from all the walking, obviously!) Pretty pleased with that, and not a little surprised at how much walking I do for Avon. Got back, jumped into the car and popped to Tescos with the manky nectarines - came back with a fresh punnet of those and have just had a natter with a friend on the phone. Now off to deal with the final two bits on my list for the day - cooking a load of mushrooms, and a 15 minute tidying blitz on the front room! I'll try to remember to post up my TaDa! later on!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I would be grateful for any tips from managers please? I manage a technician who visits homes and installs grab rails, lever taps and other minor items. He doesn't have enough to keep him occupied all day every day, so we have given him some other work to do which means he doesn't need to come back to the office unless I phone him to say I have a job for him.
This afternoon I had an email from another manager in the company asking me to talk to my technician as he seems to be spending too much time in the office. He was apparently in the office from 3.30pm today talking to someone (I was off site at a meeting).
Part of me wants to tell this other manager to butt out as it is nothing to do with him, but actually he does have a point and it should be addressed if my technician is not working 100% of the time. This other manager has had it in for my technician from day one though, so it is all office politics as usual!
I am not sure what to say to my technician - First I need to ask him what he was doing at the office at 3.30pm I presume, just in case he has a good reason for being there (which he will, because he has an answer for everything). It is very difficult because I like to be liked as a manager but don't want anyone to think they can walk over me.
So if anyone can offer tips on what to say and how to say it, I would be grateful!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j
