I suppose I'm very aware of it, because mr daffs has pulled me up on it a couple of times in the past, making fun of something he's done as an 'amusing story' in front of other people, when he actually finds it belittling, demeaning, and disrespectful. He would never do it to me, and now I have realised how much it affects him, I will never again do it to him.

And now I've stopped, I've become really aware of how much other people do it.

    Hi,

I totally appreciate your post, Cheery Daffs, in fact it has got me thinking and feeling quite guilty.

My DH (and he really is my darling husband) is a very funny, private, quite shy and sensitive man. He does some hilarious things and I love to show him off to our very close knit circle of friends. Everyone loves him and I love to tell stories but now... that's it...

I would hate for him to blab his mouth off about something I might've done or said in the privacy of our own home (nothing that private!!!) that we found funny. I would be so embarrassed. I am not going to do it any more. For the sake of a few laughs between friends and the thought of him feeling uncomfortable, even for a nanosecond, now sickens me.

Thanks so much for your comments, they have definitely inspired me to be a nicer wife and when I hug him tonight after getting home from work it will mean so much more.

    Thanks

Forgot to say that last night on the plane I asked for a G&T and she plonked TWO miniatures down + two cans of Tonic water :rotfl: (the equivalent of FOUR G&T's :D) I must have looked in need ;)
So tonight, on my nice clean uncluttered sofa I can enjoy a large G&T and decent telly :D

Bathroom almost finished :D Bashed my head on the cupboard, broken scales chucked.

Now to show DD a pile of books I want to sell on Amazon.......(her old text books)

Afternoon Matrix. Just got back from my Sanity lunch with my budget managers, and I must say, some sanity has been restored. They are a lovely group of lasses and we had a great chat. :D I have also made myself a mug of tarmac tea and taken my migraine tablet. The headache was not getting any better, so it made sense to take the pill. Hopefully I will be able to make it to see my god son and his family... and in a house with 6 kids and a labrador in it, it is always wise to go there when you don't have a headache!! :D

    Keep Going OO

I have just had a pm someone giving me a quote for a boiler, who must me reading this thread :) £1,680 no vat add.

Mum survived dentist, so we took a detour and accidently went to a textile shop where some lovely Winnie the Pooh material that was reduced to half price fell into my hands :) I thought they would make nice aprons, and what ever is left I would have a go at quilting with :)

Right back in a minute, with pic of my first attempt of an apron and the paddington bear pillow case I was on about, ooohh and I had £7 from cash for clothes :) so another £7 in the boiler pot :)

Bedroom is now looking respectable, and I've also done half an hour of gardening stuff, as well as my Avon order inputting. New order system was......different! :D I'm now going to sort out some photos, and do a blog post, then the hoover needs to go round.
