    Oh dear.
where have I been, I missed all the fun from the two threads!
Buyer from hell, no other way to describe this situation.
And poster from hell who comes here, pretending to ask for advice but only wants to hear what suits him/her, and insults anyone who doesn't agree with them.
I'm staying out of it. Well, sort of... :D

Yes, because on the eBay thread the seller said he would resolve things amicably and you then refused to speak to him and said he had 'violated the thread' and so reported him.

His messages are justified if you are refusing to speak to him and refuse to take any responsibility for being wrong. As you have continually done on this thread. But if we dare tell you anything different we are branded as angry and then are 'reported' as well.

You are playing with fire OP, if you get your money back they are a big company and they will no doubt have the money to haul you through small claims which will cost you more than £10 as they have sent the item to the address you asked them to. Whether you report them for 'harrassment' or not.

It seems harrassment only applies when you cannot get your own way over something. One of my buyers threatened to come and 'take my head off' because I would not give a refund without her returning the product to me, which was apparently broken, but eBay didn't do anything other than tell me to report it to the police, do you really think they are going to do anything over the messages you have received saying they would report you for claiming monies by deception? Seriously? You are by putting that claim in.

The seller also noted on the thread that they had been subject to fraudulent activities so this is why they would not ship elsewhere.

Whats more, on the eBay thread you even admit that you could of gone to collect the package from the other address but 'it would be a hassle'.

No wonder you need the bloody handcuffs, are they for your friends to stop them leaving?

context is everything - a threat of legal action could be a final warning to make someone stop or a malicious threat with no basis.

the fact that you think the dispute is irrelevant makes me (and clearly other people) question your motives/ability to see what is really happening.

how many threads on how many sites are you going to start to try and find people who will back you? at some point you have to realise that it can't *all* be everyone else; at some point you have to look at yourself. this is that time!

I do not understand why people keep saying this. A question cannot be backed, only an answer to the question can be backed. This thread is a QUESTION.

Another useless 2 posts which don't address the question I asked at all.

A huge thanks to the members out there who are helpful :money:
sadly there are always people who have too much time on their hands and post irrelevant stuff irrelevant to what the OP is asking. I wonder if they hang around at schools/universities, wait until the teacher/lecturer is asked a question, then jump out and start talking about random things. :rotfl:

And you have been given the answer many times. The emails were justified.

Should you call the number? No. You'll make yourself look even more stupid when they find out that you refuses to speak to the seller an sort it amicably.

The emails are not harrassment in any way shape or form. They are telling you to stop trying to claim moneis from us fraudulently or we will report you to the police for deception. Clearly they were exasperated emails because you are not listening to anything other than what you want to hear.

Oooh, you naughty girl, now he can see my post. I am clearly still in my PMT phase so please amend accordinally.

I cannot be the only thinking he is a complete nut job, can I? It feels like relentlessly banging your head against a brick wall. Go on, someone please him buy saying that he should call the number, it is what he has been waiting for. I would but he can't see it. 9000 posts and someone has finally blocked me.

Buyers like him are the reason I gave up eBay.

A thread is not a question
    This is a thread;
Computers) A sequence of messages posted to an on-line newsgroup or discussion group, dealing with the same topic; -- messages in such a thread typically refer to a previous posting, thus allowing their identification as part of the thread. Some news-reading programs allow a user to follow a single such thread independent of the other postings to that newsgroup. [PJC]

context to your question matters. 'backing' or support for an answer is different to the context of a whole situation.

putting something in bold does not add validity.

again - at some point you need to accept that this isn't everyone else, this is you. this is an important lesson to learn!
