I recently purchased an item and we had a small dispute about the item. The seller then sent me threatening messages. Hope this is the right section, I don't come on this forum a lot.

A seller can't leave negative feedback any more.0
-
you're the buyer - you can leave any feeedback. The seller can only leave a positive feedback or not leave any at all.
Personally I think the email is designed to frighten you.
Good luck with it xx0 -
This issue was discussed at length yesterday here and on Ebay's forum.
Case closed.0 -

Case closed.
The other thread was about the dispute itself. This thread is about the messages sent to me by the buyer.
Clearly eBay customer service don't believe it to be "case closed", although I'm sure you know a lot more about eBay's harassment rules than they do. :rotfl:

" If we find any detrimental comments of fraud against us posted anywhere we will also take civil action against you for deformation."
How are going to deform them, are you going to label them at the same time?
It's amazing how many people in dispute are either Police Officers, current & ex, or Solicitors.
I've just read the first few posts about the original post, you should have changed your address in Paypal before ordering, however the seller shouldn't be sending threatening messages.0 -
We thought you had handcuffed yourself to the radiator and could not get to thekeyboard. But then we remembered you did not get the handcuffs in question.
Did you not get the answers you wanted from the other thread and from the eBay thread?
From the posts you have made over there it would be enough to make any seller start responding like that. If you refuse to believe, point black, that you are in the wrong and still continue to harass the seller they might well report you too.
Did you not call them vile?0 -

I will copy and paste what I just said:

I respect your opinion. I was completely amicable with the seller when we were in contact privately over eBay, he only started threatening me with "police action" after I told him I was considering PayPal action. I have not harassed the seller at all but he is entitled to do so if s/he so wishes.0 -
So he is responding to emails FROM you, but his emails replying to your emails are considered harrassment.
And yes, you are trying to commit fraud, you supplied your address but forgot to make an amendment to the address and so are claiming for non-delivery. I guess this could be classed as fraud in the eyes of the law, yes. They are sending to the place where they have been instructed to, on the payment confirmation. In a court of law (small claims) it would be this that rules in their favour. I did warn you yesterday that this could cost you dear. That seller could have been ripped off before and your fraudulent claim has tipped him over the edge.
You really are rather silly aren't you? He has obviously got annoyed with your attitude (which quite clearly shows on the other thread I might add) and started making threats in the hope that you would leave him alone.
How many times did you tell him that he was wrong and you was right? I lost cound on the other 2 threads to be fair. I think it took 7 pages on MSE and 85 posts on eBay before you actually considered you might have been to blame.
You can go ahead and report him if you wish but they will so go through your emails too.0 -

Yes, claiming money back because YOU c0cked up is fraud. Yes, it is obtaining monies by deception. Do you still not realise this after 200 posts on the matter?
I have no idea what the last bit means 'he is entitled to do so if s/he so wishes'.
He is welcome to go to the police about you, he is also able to take out a small claims court action against you. They are not empty threats or harrassment but the way he has worded the emails wrong - probably out of frustration with you more than anything else - at least we get an edit button!!0
