I got held up at a roundabout last year while the council repainted the white give way lines right in front of me.
Luckily I managed to drive through in between the gaps. Wouldn't of been happy if I had ended up with that stuff on my new tyres.0 -

I discovered that the entire right side of my Black vehicle had white road marking paint spattered all over the entire right side of my vehicle. I was upset, since I had just had the vehicle painted.
I had "Fast Orange" hand cleaner in my garage and figured after seeing all the previous posts that this might actually be effective. The only unfortunate thing was the bottle that I had, had pumice in it which probably helped to remove the white paint.
Before application to the paint on the vehicle, I put a gob of the Fast Orange on the tires, let it sit, tried a test spot on the paint around the inside wheel well.
I'm so happy to report that the paint came off nicely with the Fast Orange hand cleaner and a bristle brush (used for floor scubbing or tires) on the tires only.
Fast Orange was applied to paint, but only on a small test spot, let it sit a little, then rubbled gently with a paper towel which seemed to give enough friciton to remove the really big splatters. Encouragement with a finger nail at times and in some areas was necessary.
I will warn that it did remove the high gloss appearance in the affected areas. I then took the vehicle to a commerical car wash for a nice wash and wax. there were some areas that the finish is not as glossy, but will be using the (orange bottle - Scratch doctor scratch remover) which is just a rubbing compound. I have had great success with this product on other spots on the vehicle prior to this white paint splattering event.
I was really excited that the Fast Orange hand cleaner worked. It might be even more effective to use without the pumice but it is more difficult to find the "smooth" Fast Orange forumula.
I think that the white paint was the water soluable kind, but none the less, it has been successfully removed.
Good luck to anyone else that makes the unfortuante discovery of having white paint splattered all over your vehicles. Hopefully, you will also have success with using Fast Orange hand cleaner.

Thats some endorsement for FO Mr FO sales man !
Reading through this old thread why has no one picked up on the fact that road markings are not paint ! EXCEPT FOR POST 18
The road markings are actually a coloured thermo plastic, it is initially a dry powder which is melted in the huge vats you see on the back of the lorries when you see them being "painted", hence them being burnt / melted off when they are being altered, the reflective side comes from glass beads which are spread onto the plastic as it is being laid.
I doubt very much that anything other than chipping off the stuff gets rid of it if a car gets splashed by it, thinners etc wont budge it as its not a paint !
