My plastic matalic black painted bumper has white road marking paint on it. Does anyone have any idea how to remove the road marking paint without damaging the cars origional paint?

Ifs it the grainy road paint then it should easily come off with a rough edged cloth otherwise try a really fine soft sand paper.

    Try using your finger nail.

None of the above - use a clay bar.

I have seen the line painters using a blowtorch to remove old lines. You could (carefully) give that a go.

I would NOT recommend this. Road surfaces can withstand heat a lot better than a bumper!

(a bumper will melt, a panel will expand and crack all the paint)

All polishes are mildly abrasive, so try whatever you usually use.

If it is the real white road marking paint - the type used for centre lines - then I'd write to the council and ask for their proposals since they clearly opened a road before the pain was dry or didn't adequately protect the public, making it their fault.

Unless you were driving where you shouldn't have been??

It's used on roads and requires blow torches to remove it because it's tough stuff and doesn't come off easily.....I think you'll struggle to remove it without damaging the car.
