Indeed, the lab test results between in-date and out-of-date chocolate coming back all clear shows all out of date chocolate is safe to consume wherever purchased. Unfortunately, It doesnt prove that approved food is completely safe as you claim - but we are happy to believe this. Maybe perhaps Approved Food should invest its millions into a research and development facility to test all types of products to justify your claim?? x0 -

Swincoif they did this they would then more than likely pass the cost onto the consumer which inturn would make it not as cheap and less people would buy from them, i've had loads from approved foods and i'm happy with it all and we've never been sick
Not necessarily - we would have to check Approved Foods annual accounts to get a better idea of the turnover and where the money is being distributed. I have read claims off £15million turnover and 100k members but nothing confirmed- we have access to reports via companies house website, but i cant seem to find any :huh: can anyone else?
As Approved Foods are seen as the specialists, should they have a research facility to build upon the work carried out by the BBC? Is it simply good enough for a member of staff to try a chocolate bar, or pack of crisps and say "yes, thats tastes fine so it must be" or give the seal of approval "we tested them this morning" ??0 -
SwincoI myself use all 4 lots and have done for a few years, here is my opinion and experiences on them.
Approved Food - these carry the most variety of stock and get lots of new items in everday. While they are cheap, I have noticed of late, they have put their prices up a lot. I would recommend and they are good with customer services.
Big Brands for Less - when they were running their 200% extra free, it was an amazing offer. I buy the odd things off them when they run their promotions, otherwise i have most of their stock in my cupboards. (Now shut down, meant to be redoing their website)
Food Bargains - I have gotten some of my best bargains off them, but they are few and far between these days and I personally find them not much better than the shops, although people are raving about their Lucky boxes. I still check them out on a regular basis.
Swinco - this is where I have been doing most of my shopping lately. They do not carry the range that Approved Food do, but I tend to bulk buy certain items, as they are usually very cheap, in fact cheaper than AF lately. One example at the moment Tortillas Swinco 25p for 8, Approved Food 79p for 6. There are a few examples like this. (Edit) Of late Swinco have not had much in the way of new stock, unless I have been missing it.
My favourites are Approved Foods and Swinco, Swinco is unpopular with some members of Approved, but I have only had exceptional service from them, as I have with all of them. Food bargains are a nightmare if you need a refund, don't know if they are any better now.0
