Sounds great, But I see a couple off pitfalls

1.) Nutritious vaules will become less accurate over the sale by date

2.) Who misses out on these great foods. I know alot of suppermarkets despense and give alot off food to Zoo's, Homeless, Pet Shelters etc etc.

For the price's is still seems expensive when you tally up the delivery charge.. for the products that are short dated tend to be more pricey then the best before.. almost failing to undercut supermarket specials. It's pretty lousy if this is as good as it gets. Alot of the foods seem to be junk & convience foods which most likley wouldn't tend to buy by the case inless your tailing your diets based on what's currently in stock from one week to the next. I guess what it all comes down to is profits, me personally I wouldn't choose to let them into the market some of the prices I've conveyed are pretty shoddy giving the circumstances.

Just how much or how long can these products hold their full nutrition & energy vaules. Half the price - half the nutrition = no save

You can bet they hold out on ALOT off the good stuff, and probaly distribute accross other networks that they're likley to make more profits.. Boo clearance stores.. get better products and better pricing then we talk business.

98% of this stuff fails to beat wholesale price plus its out off its best before date.... which is bound to be less nutritious then when its in date overall lacks quality I don't see the products I'm generally intreasted in or the popular sellers like chewing gum or haribo so where do they hide these.. They must get them but sell them high price to someone else. Alot of it is junk the stuff that does appeal can be picked up/found cheaper in pound shops or supermarket specials

The food tastes the same and has done no harm to me or my family. One of the main objectives of these sites is to help reduce the waste going to landfill by offering a safe service where food is available cheaply to all and from a sustainable business point of view. Depending on which site you use, the prices are far less than wholesale and I have been a happy shopper and saved plenty of money using them :money:

We have added lots of special offers and market trader deals, so if you know any market traders let them know about our trader section. thanks for all the orders, keep them comming from all the staff at BBFL"

BB4L have simply removed all the subcategories so now rather than just looking through the sections which contain the products you may actually be interested in buying you also have to look through all the other products you have no interest in too.

Approved Food claim there customers have saved £3.8 million in 2011 but customers are still skeptical about their products and service. Taken from the Approved Food Discussion Page
Glad you are happy with your box for £6.25. Personally I think that is absolute crap. IMO you'd be better off getting deals from supermarkets of items that you actually wanted or even the pound shop.

    Best of luck anyway.

I keep browsing through their site, due to their relentless emails, adding things to my basket and then noticing it is around £25 and telling myself that I wouldn't buy this rubbish normally so why am I now!?

Ironically I have just been through my fridge and cupboards and thrown away a load of sauces that I bought because they sounded nice and with such a big discount off RRP. It was a waste of money because they were hardly used and tasted disgusting!

Nothing wrong with the actual products - not spoiled or anything - just taste rough - lol!

One piece of advice - stay away from the Crosse and Blackwell White sauce now being cleared at 20 for a pound - it is utterly vile.
What makes Approved Food number one? Compared to the other short dated food sites you can get more variety and better prices, for example:

Food Bargains have a new range of American Products and Fruit and Veg. A case of Mountain Dew will cost you £1.50

Swinco have a case of Foxs Party Rings for only £1.50, Case of six Kelloggs Cereal Pots for only £1 and clearance books

    Big Brands For Less
have on offer Mcdougalls baking products goodies.
