we dont need help....................we just need less of our taxes being used to fund other people and let us fund ourselves!
your wife wants to work 30 hourss a week and you dont work.
i totally understand that in your chosen profession, times are hard.....as they are for most of us.
there is nothing to stop you getting work for the 3 days that your wife will be home to mind the children. but tax credits seem to be your choice!0

Looking after our two children is WORK.
My wife will only be off one day a week as explained. You seem to think she is dropping to 16 hours, this is not the case.0

ive had children......most of us either have or have had children. 4 days a week your wife will work while you care for them. 3 days a week you will both be home.
what stops you working those other 3 days?
probably because the way you hgave worked it out will maximise your entitlement, so working too will not bring you much extra.
im not blaming you, but you must see that this system is wrong!
your childcare should be covevred so you can both work.
that should be the benefit.................working to keep your own family!0

Apart from the severe lack of suitable jobs. I don't want to be claiming tax credits and other benefits forever but I cannot find suitable work in my area it simply does not exist.we dont need help....................we just need less of our taxes being used to fund other people and let us fund ourselves!

freddie, ignore a hypocrite like nannytone who bashes anyone who doesnt work even though she is unemployed herself. you are VERY entitled to those tax credits. it's a shame this benefits board appears to be a place for attacking people on benefits when it should be a place to help Martin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.0 Martin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.0

Thanks for the posts of support above.
As explained earlier I will find work when it's available.
I will not palm my children off to childcare to work minimum wage part time when my family (especially my wife) need my support.
Thanks for your contributions but I feel this argument is going no where.
I feel you think "the system is wrong" because it's wrong for you.0
