Orange - Rediculous Signal :(

I have 4 handsets with Orange
I have been having the same problems as you have with Orange for 5 months
There has been a mast removed at the opposite end of the town to me and a tempoary mast put up, which runs at reduced power. This has caused the other masts to become congested and I fail to recieve calls or texts
I have had a nightmare with Orange c/s- I have been blatently lied to by c/s offshore. one told me to call back in 48 hours as the 3g roaming with tmobile would be happening last wednesday (it didn't), he also suggested I call back and I could cancel my contracts then (lie)
I HAVE ASKED ORANGE TO PULL THIS CALL AND GIVEN THEM THE DATE, TIME AND DURATION
All you get is 'it's in the terms and conditions and you have to buy out your contract'
I have an advantage- my mobile is for business and it records ALL my calls (they have put this fact in the notes and are told when I call up)
I have a log of all calls and details of who said what etc.
I have asked for the problem to be escalated (8 times last week) and have now had an email from a manager
My main problem is that I am missing a lot of incoming calls, and I am losing business and family calls.
My missus is pregnant and I need to be contactable, I am not- she tried for 3 hours to call me on Friday afternoon. I got a text saying she called- I found out when I recieved the text 3 hours after it was sent
I will post (on a new thread) when all becomes apparentbaldly going on...0 -
I'm with Orange, and have had signal problems since the merger of them and T-mobile.
My son works for them and also says they have had many signal complaints into his store.
Things have improved around here now, so much so that I have now entered into a new 2 year contract with them, admittedly mainly because of the 40% line rental discount I get for him working with them.
Cs has always been brilliant, when you get an english call centre, but absolutley atrocious when you get an Indian call centre. So much so I have hung up each time and keep calling back until I get someone in Britain.0 -
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

The problem here is that you used to get offshore <10% of the time, now you get them >90% of the time
They have shut the call centre in Bristol and are shedding jobs in the UK like there's no tomorrow. Even the store staff hate calling offshore, but have no choicebaldly going on...0 -
I agree totally, but you always have the option of asking the 'offshore' person to be transfered back to Britain.
Also don't rely on their menu system. Some of the options are nearly always put through to UK centers.
It also depends on what time of the day and day of the week as to whether you get put 'offshore' more often.0 -

Tried asking them to transfer the call to the UK, get told that's not possible- you will need to hang up and call backbaldly going on...0 -
my partner moved to orange from t-mobile about 15 months ago as his signal with t-mobile was terrible and has ended up with an even worse signal. Before he couldnt get signal in our house but it was fine at work and other places. now on orange his signal at work is terrible too, as well as at home. about every 3 out of 5 calls i make to him i am greeted with his answerphone as the phone hasnt goyt signal. I keep telling him to get onto orange about it but he has never bothered. seems not reading this there is no point as they dont seem to listen anyway.
Im with o2 and dont have any problems at all. think i shall definately be staying with them too after all the OH's signal problems.0 -
