Went down a bit too well!
All in all it was a pretty boring but productive weekend. Got the floors sorted on Friday, had to put the glass back in the windows on Saturday, did nothing much on Sunday and then did the Visa thing for the States today.
Filled in all my details and paid using the VISA and it came up Application Approved straight away. Did OHs next and it came up Application Pending  Freaked out a little bit and did some manic googling and it turns out it happens a few people and to check again in 10 mins. So I did and it's approved. Major relief!
So now I'm looking for a travel document holder
. I'm not the most organised person on the planet so want to just keep everything together. Want something practical but not TOO obviously girly - kinda like this Emma Bridgewater one. Dont want anything too "summer holiday" because I tend to travel in December a bit too. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Emma-Bridgewater-Polka-Travel-Wallet/dp/B0047U3C72/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1304359321&sr=8-2
Need to get TSA approved bag locks too.
Having a boring evening. Planning on going for a bath soon. Was looking forward to reading my Red mag in the bath till I realised I've left it at OHs. Oh well - will get it off him during the week.
Back to the grindstone tomorrow!0 -
Just realised I left my trainers in OHs car! Flip - meant to start couch to 5K tomorrow!0

Out of the bath! And have plucked eyebrows (I TRY to keep them tweezed but usually forget them for a few days, which is enough for mine to return to nature and then have to get them waxed)
Have used medicated shampoo treatment on hair - had to leave on for 5 mins.
Used Liz Earle brightening mask. Lovely smell. Not sure if i notice a difference or not.
Have also epilated both lower legs - would have done full legs but the epilator started flashing at me that it was about to die.
Have oiled cuticals on hands and am about to moisturise feet.
So that was quite good all round!0 -
I want to do couch to 5K too, the first week involves lots of walking so maybe you could start without the proper trainers.
You should join the no toiletries thread
In Style magazine has free nails inc nail polish and Marie Claire has free Body Shop body butter, both out on 5th May I think.
Edited to add: The people on the no toiletries thread actually buy rather a lot of (sometimes expensive) cosmetics. It's as much about using things up and getting the best value as it's about not buying stuff.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
This is going to be short - spent the day sick in bed with a tummy bug. Typing on the iPhone which is a bit awkward with my chubby fingers. Day time tv is deathly boring. It's actually not bad when sick cause you don't mind falling asleep in the middle of it but I'm not looking forward to redundancy!0

Well I'm back (still feeling a little bit fragile but better than yesterday anyway!)
Hate going back to work after a few days off - always feel out of the loop for the first day and there's lots going on workwise. My manager is leaving - don't blame him for getting out now! But will definately miss him - the job I do can be quite difficult and he was always on hand with advice on how to handle things. So having lunch for him tomorrow.
There's negotians happening today over an improved redundancy package. Having a staff meeting tomorrow at 11am so will find out all then. Fingers crossed.
Have mandatory overtime this week
. Not sure if I have to do 3 or 4 hours as I was off on Tuesday. We usually have voluntary but we're so backlogged we all have to do it. So did 2 hours extra today. Tired now!
There was a small article in the local paper that there's a company lined up to take over the building and staff (ie us) but the politician who went to the paper about it is well known for making statements and then withdrawing them. If the paper though there was any truth in it it would be splashed all over the front page so none of us are holding our breaths.
Much more work orientated post than usual!
Was hoping to have a NSD but that didn't happen. First had to put €10 into the fund for boss leaving. Then saw the carges for the USA visa was on the credit card so paid that off and my broadband direct debit went out as well today. Also had to transfer €1000  to OHs account as he's bought wood for the house and put it on his credit card! So quite a bad day all in all!
Planning a quite night on the couch. Exercise is taking a back seat this week it seems.
Dinners ready, might be back later.0 -

Forgot to say, I have a wee veggie patch, was quite successful last year but nothing seems to be happening thisyear

Poor veggies - do you think it was the bad winter?
Work stuff has been postponed till May 26th! Not good! Manager was stuck in Dublin so lunch postponed till next week. Luckily I had soup in the work fridge.
I had to go to Tesco after work to get lunch for tomorrow. So before I went in I set myself a limit of €15 as that was how much I had in notes in my wallet. Was quite proud of myself for sticking to it. I LOVE wandering round supermarkets, OH thinks I'm bonkers, so I usually end up buying loads more than I intend to.
Did buy Psychologies magazine cause the cover line was about making peace with food and that is something I have issues with. I comfort eat and stress eat (and drink a little bit!).
Anyway when I came home I emptied out my wallet of change and I had about €13 so that's gone into my piggy bank.
I've started emptying out my wallet on Thursday (provided there's anything left in it!). I get paid on Fridays.
Laters!0
