Kerry just keep thinking- "I will soon have a lovely home!"

That is what I keep telling myself! The countdown is on as we really want to be in there when we get married. OH is panicking about whether we manage it but as I tell him once we have running water and a toilet and ideally a bed, everything else we'll manage!:D

    Hiya

Wow what a lot going on!! Bet you can't wait to get into your new home when it's all ready :).

I like the idea of self renovation, think that's what I need...

    Off to ponder...

    LB

It was the fact that I'm getting married that kicked off the whole self renovation. I've always gotten bits and pieces done but now I acually NEED to look good on a certain date so I had to get a bit serious. I figured as the house was being renovated I could do MY renovation to the same time-line!

Well done! I have a wee plan for myself I have just posted on my diary. Time for some self indulgence I think:j

Today was a bit of a mixed bag. Work was annoying. Someone was questioning a decision Id made and, even though I was justified in what I did, it felt like I was being accused of doing something wrong.

Met OH after work and got some good news for a change. The electrician who looked at the house yesterday has given us a price of €2000 for the job which is a great price so we'll be going with him. OH had gone to price some of the bathroom stuff we'd picked. The brochure price was €1700 and we're getting it for €1000 with discounts :D:D. Happy days.

Had my jet peel facial. It's not the most relaxing of treatment, it's basically power washing your face! But I can't have microdermabrasion cause of a skin condition so this is the next best thing.

It was ALMOST a NSD. All I spent was parking and the cost of my facial (€80) and that was planned so I feel good about today.

It's a stream of cold water and cold air and it's rubbed back and forward across the face. It's REALLY uncomfortable around the nostrils, not painful, just trying to breath! And on the forehead it's a little bit like an ice-cream headache! But my skin does look much clearer and brighter after!

Was hoping today would be an NSD but it hasn't happened. Purely my own fault. Mom asked me to go to the shop for her and a bottle of wine and some magazines fell into my shopping basket as well.

Have new shampoo and conditioner to try tonight. Liz Earle. Been using the clearser and toner and moisturiser as well. Got a sample pack.

Really need to get around to epilating my legs too. Not a job i'm looking forward to though!:(

Planning on joining the cutting down on Alcohol thread and the NSD one. I do well with targets!

Paid a visit to the bags I have my eye on in Debenhams and am still resisting. The are lovely though. Now that I can post links - http://www.debenhams.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?parentCategoryId=141619&catalogId=10001&categoryId=141619&langId=-1&productId=925578&storeName=Debenhams.ie&storeId=10052

    Hoping for an NSD tomorrow!

Did you get the beauty club email from Debenhams? They have samples from Benefit and Estee Lauder, worth dropping by for them if you are going to Debenhams.

Ooooh I love the bags! Esp the first one. Unfortunately due to Primark I now resent spending more than a tenner on a bag...
I'll have to look into this Beauty Club thing

For Debenhams beauty club you need to pick up a card instore. Ask for it at Clinique/Clarins/Lancome, etc (take your pick but it needs to be one of the expensive brands). Then bring your card home and follow the instructions to register it online, then you'll get the emails with the offers :) Just try not to buy too much :D
