@Mags, how long are those roadworks supposed to be going on??? Had the consult in Mahon and got VERY confused with the diversions!

About 2 years I think :undecided with 3-4 months done now. Was that the Oct bank holiday weekend? That's the only time so far the roundabouts have been closed. The diversions were rather badly managed. Even my band friends got lost which is fairly unusual for them, as they are so used to finding places it seems to come naturally to them.

I don't think diversions can happen again before Christmas as the retailers would go mental over the disruption but flyovers are going to be built over the roundabouts so that'll cause plenty of mayhem.

Eventually you'll be able to get to Mahon much more easily. Actually it's rather strange living so close to a huge building site and seeing people in yellow hi-vis jackets all the time. It's like a flashback to the celtic tiger days :rotfl:

So much for my promise to update more regulary (don't think I spelled that right!).

Not too much happening. Just working away waiting for the end of December so it's just over and done with.

Me and OH have decided to have a little "pre-redundency" holiday and we're going to Frankfurt in Germany to the Christmas markets. We're also going to take OHs two brothers as they did a lot of work on the house for free and they deserve it.

Have to admit I'm feeling a LITTLE uneasy about it. There's been a lot of tension lately between the older brother and OH and the younger brother. I just really hope it doesn't blow up when they've all had a few drinks. I've told OH if it happens I'm walking away and they can sort it out between themselves. They do have form for this but it hasn't happened in about 6-7 years so I'm crossing my fingers!

I'm off to see Jimmy Carr tomorrow night. Can't wait. I LOVE comedy gigs. Am surprised Jimmy Carr is doing a show local to me - though he would only perform in Dublin so happy days.

I've been a bit bold. I bought Michael McIntyre tickets earier this year for a Saturday night but they weren't great seats. He just announced another date on the Sunday and I've ordered more tickets with MUCH better seats!! The Saturday is sold out so I'm hoping I can sell the tickets! OR if it doesn't work out with OH and college I can sell the Sunday ones! Haven't told OH yet!

Have been thinking about new years resolutions already and have an idea but I want to pad it out in my head before writing about it. Will do soon though.

    Laters!

Enjoy Jimmy Carr. Agreed it's great not having to go to Dublin for everything.

Don't keep us in suspense about the 2012 post-redundency plans for too long :) Anything you can use that posh notebook for?

    Had a lovely christmassy weekend!

On Friday we put up the xmas tree at work and then it was the Late Late toy show with a glass of wine on Friday night.

On Saturday went to Cork to go Christmas shopping and had a lovely productive day AND i got a nespresso machine as a Christmas pressie from DH!! I've been wanting one for a while so was looking at them in BTs and decided to get one and DH said he'd get it for me!

On Sunday put up our Christmas tree!! And got to put up all the decorations I got in DisneyLand Paris in 2009 for the first time! Love them all. Had some from Frankfurt last year as well.

Having a duvet day today. Called in sick to work. As some of you know I'm being made redundent on 30th December. I had 5 sick days left and I wasn't letting the company have them! Had used 4 so last one today!

Off to Frankfurt on Friday till Monday so really looking forward to that.
