My Credit File Clean Up ?

Dojo, I always staple the Recorded Delivery receipt to a copy of the relevant letter, it's easy to match them up as the receipt will have the postcode on it. If sending two letters to the same address on the same day I always make a note of which is which too, so when I get home I know how to file the receipts.
Doesn't help you now I know, but for the future.
Recorded Delivery isn't a guaranteed service by the way. The letters go into the sack with first and second class post and can get 'lost' in the same way standard post can. My dad was a postie and one day he found a 30 year old letter down the back of a table situated against the wall! Considering the sheers volume of post dealt with and the dodgy agency staff, I'm surprised more doesn't go missing each year. When I joined, I needed a name. I have the post code so I know where it has not been delivered but unsure which copy has gone missing.
Yes I know it is not guaranteed but there was no way I could afford to send them by special delivery.:pB&SC No. 298

That's what I guessed.
Yeah, SD is far too expensive for a standard letter.
Oh well, print them both off and try again. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

I have had Equifax reports through now and the missing overdraft debt is showing on there, despite not showing on Experian
All information is as I expected, all showing defaults and not listed as setttled or satisfied, so next step is the recorded delivery letters to compose.
No idea how much they will cost to send off, so will just get them ready and when pay day arrives off they go!
Feel a bit more positive that our clean up has begun.
How is everyone else getting on?0 -
Recorded Delivery is 77p plus cost of first or second class for the size, thickness and weight of letter. I'd stick with first class if you can as second has longer travelling time to potentially get lost in the system. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

It's gone up a chunk in the last few years. When it was 68p I think the value insured was £28. Now it's 77p and the value insured is £46 (except for cash and jewellery which should be sent Special Delivery of course).

Keep us updated anyway, hopefully won't be too long before I can start on mine, two months in now so worst case I'll be cleaning up in about a year's time. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN
