• Sorry to hear that you're in the same boat. Very stressful just waiting and not knowing what's going on.

    Nobody seems to know anything.

I am determined to resolve this.

Quick update. Still no contact from Homesun.

The wife and I were trying to remember how many times Homesun have ever phoned us (as opposed to the number of times we've had to call them and their subsidiaries.). We think it amounts to three times since the very beginning. Once to arrange survey, another to arrange first (failed) install date and finally to arrange the second (failed) install date.

EDIT: No I lie, there was one other call from the legal team regarding a minor issue with HM Land Registry. Just remembered that one and I want to be completely honest about everything.

Even during the initial process nobody told us our survey had been lost and we had to keep hassling them to find out why it was taking so long.

I will keep posting with updates daily, provided nobody objects.

    Have a good day all.

You need to consider legal action if they 'don't come up with the goods.'

    Hi

Logically on what basis ? .... the only thing that I could think of would be breach of contract between a supplier (the homeowner) and the customer (the RaR scheme operator) on a consequential loss basis .... but you would have to prove consequential loss. Going deeper, the loss would be the inability to use the 'free' electricity .... to classify this as a loss you would need it to be a quantifiable level of generation as per the contractual agreement .... I would hazard a very strong guess that the agreement in no way states what the level of generation would be .... ;):D

    Just my thoughts ....

  • I think that legal action is a non starter and I am not considering it at all. I can't say that I'm significantly out of pocket (phone calls being the only cost to me). Mentally and emotionally the cost cannot be quantified.

My personal wish is to just get some truthful answers as to what is going on and why these huge mistakes are being made. I am IN NO WAY seeking compensation of any kind.

All I want is what I was promised.

    Dear All HomeSun Customers,

We sincerely apologize to the customers who we will unfortunately not be able to install before the 12th December. We are trying our best to deal with the situation brought about by the government cuts to the FiT and we are working around the clock to install all the customers who have been given their date. We appreciate your understanding and patience, please bear with us and if there are any problems please email customerservices@homesun.com

    Many Thanks,

    HomeSun Team

  • Thanks DoctorBanzai for your kind words, I hope the latest efforts from "them" will bear fruit for you. I am also going to email them and ask for assurances that the panels will still be installed and on the same basis as before - despite the Govt. changes and collapse of Corillian Contractors. I will post any reply I may get but I'm not holding my breath.

Thanks to you too Ted. I would be genuinely interested to hear how you get on. I intend to keep posting on my experiences and hopefully it can be an encouragement to others that we can get things resolved.

    Good luck.
