And I did answer that question...

To answer your original question... no they do not have to refund to the original payment method, although it is good practice to do so for a number of reasons.

    Good afternoon all.

I bought some headphones from HMV not long ago, and they've broken. As the HMV closest to me has been closed, I contacted Philips to ask if there was anything they could do.

Apparently they "don't do" repairs, but they can offer me a 10% off voucher for a new pair of headphones. I can't remember exactly how long ago I bought they headphones but it can't be more than a couple of months - is this reasonable?

    How much did they cost?
    Do you have a receipt?
Do Philips offer a manufacturer's warranty?

    1) £25 (I think they were down from £30).

    2) Unfortunately not. I paid with my HMV Pure card before they went in to administration and I don't believe they gave me a receipt. If they did it's probably long gone by now.

    3) Uh? I'm not sure, sorry.

To be honest I would contact Apple directly - a hell of a lot less hassle. They will probably just replace the device out right.
Yes absolutely, you have a right to make what you want as long as you have a receipt. Moreover, go to Apple store and make a way to be able to find solutions to your problem..
  • hello i recently ordered a mountain bike from a company and entered into a credit agreement with their finance company, i also paid £100 deposit with a credit card, i was told that i would have to wait a month, i phoned after the month was up to enquire upon the status of my order to which the responded that the bike would be available for pick up a couple of days later, i visited shop to pick up order and then was informed that the person i spoke to on the phone had misinformed me and that the order had not even left the depot there fore i would have to wait even longer, i informed them of my annoyance and asked them what they could do to compensate me for the extended wait they said they would give £20 of price to which i informed them that this was unacceptable and would be seeking more in way of lights, pump, tubings etc, where do i stand in reguard to this ,what are my rights concerning compensation if any?
please help cos this is doing my head in, the passing back and fore the blame, and would it be easier just to ask for deposit back and shop else where? which i dont want to do because no other shop offered the same style of bike.
    once again please help
    thank you
