Girlfriend hasn't arrived, so I'm ok for the mo.... though getting hungry. No, it's only 400MB or so, so should be ok.

    CD is fine.

No, there are huge holes in my knowledge.

Last resort, refer to the link in post #76. Alternative is a caddy for £10.95.
  • quick check before i burn it, files inside the iso are: (cos i dont wanna get that cannot find live file error thing again)
.disk , boot, casper, dists, install, isolinum, pics, pool, pressed, and autorun file, md5sum notepad, a readme, ubuntu (tho it says this file is 0kb) usb-creator and something with a multicoloured icon called wubi

think this was what was on the last one O_O but will go try it. :)

aaah so youre still a kid with more knowledge that us older folk haha! :)

    Run the Memory Test..

Have you tried the Last Known Good Configuration

You should also check to see if ACER eRecovery will actually work. Refer to post #76. Just see if the eRecovery screen appears. If it doesn't, the only option will be to use a full install disc(unless you made Recovery Discs).

We could use HBD to repair the SAFEBOOT(that is why it is going to the Other User window) option via the Registry, but that means I'll have to go through the tools in order to write you a tutorial.

Perhaps we should move towards the backing up the data. Hope you can access the hard drive via Mini XP.

Have a go with one of the malware scanners on HBD, such as ComboFix.
