payslip today - £200 extra than usual :j so £30 more than i thought which is good :D

now eon read metre last fri and sent me my quarterly bill. was only £85  so i am now £103 in credit.

i pay £60 per month for gas and electric. they didnt set it up in time for first payment when i moved in oct so i didnt pay anything for over a month. even over winter using heating i was still £9 in credit (would have been nearly £70 if they had taken 1st month)

clearly this means that i am paying far too much, esp at the moment. does anyone think it would be possible for me to get the £100 refunded and reduce it to £50 a month? think thats reasonable as i will still be overpaying £20 a month when heating not on to build up credit for winter

    Hi clippy

The aim with our Direct Debit arrangements is for accounts to have a zero balance by the time of the annual review in the spring.

If the bill we've just issued is your annual review, then the credit balance will automatically be refunded to your bank.

If not and it's the first quarter of the next 12 month period, then I would expect there to be a credit balance at this time of year ready for the expected higher winter bills. However, from the info posted, it looks as though you may well be over paying.

Best thing to do is give us a call and ask for the arrangement to be reviewed. We can soon tell you if you're paying too much. If you are, the monthly payments can be reduced and any excess credit refunded.

Hope this helps clippy. Give me a shout if I can help further as glad to do so. Drop an email to the address in my Profile if you prefer. Will be happy to take a look for you.

looking at money I know is coming in before 31st it is £874. after OD paid off will have £710 to go to dad. so will be £140 short but should get about £120 next month for petrol. so not too bad :) hope to be on track next month as got an extra £40 MS booked and poss some OT :D

Some are not so bad. Here's hoping you're lucky, if not pretend you're in Thailand or something as you have lower standards abroad :rotfl:

so update time (might as well do it now seems as last day of month is sunday)

£750 paid to dad today :j:money:

target was £850 but due to petrol and vets could not make it. however getting £115 back from work next payday for petrol so can make it up then :)

have made approx £418 MS this month which is ££108 over target! say approx as did a MS at a jewellers and had to buy an item which i get a set amount of euros for. i need to wait till i get paid to see what it is in £ and also how much i sell item for on next free listing day on ebay.

have also got 2 OT shifts worth approx £50 each coming up so all is good! want to continue beating MS target as decided to go to v festival next summer so need some cash for that :)

    so plans for weekend-

    today

    do MS
    spend few hours cleaning
    do audit
    have dinner
    do cinema audit

    tomorrow

go into city to buy mums present and card (free as i have money saved in present account)
    buy tweezers
    do MS
    more cleaning
    cinema audit
