Gordon Brown - Head of the IMF???

Is it just me or is this all very very wrong? Cameron's taken the opportunity to trash him -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-13127225

Mr Cameron told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "I haven't spent a huge amount of time thinking about this. It does seem to me that if you have someone who didn't think we had a debt problem in the UK... they might not be the best person to [run the IMF]".

Mr Cameron also said: "I certainly don't want a washed-up politician from another country. It's important that the IMF is led by someone extraordinarily competent."

i'm sure the Gordon Brown position in the IMF will be used as a political tool by one of the other political parties to distract from their own issues.

    Whoa!

David Cameron hasn't spent much time thinking about this?
The IMF are looking to appoint a person into a key role, & Britain could have a significant influence and David cameron HASN'T SPENT MUCH TIME THINKING ABOUT IT????

!!!!!!? You're Prime Minister. Behave & carry out your role responsibly!

If he doesn't spend much time thinking about this, how many other decision (which he's had to U-turn on) hasn't he thought about properly?

Cameron is becoming more of a joke with idiotic comments like this. I want my PM to phuqing think about stuff.
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I hate to defend Cameron but to be fair discussing the head of the IMF is fairly low down the list when it comes to what has been happening in the world lately - the UK's involvement in Libya likely being one of the top issues at the moment for example.

GB was a mediocre chancellor who seemed to be doing OK whilst the world economy was doing very well, the weaknesses were exposed when things turned down.
As a prime minister he was rather embarrasing.
