I am so mad with myself! I had lost one of the bits for my food processor, duly called up and ordered it, and it arrived today, I put it together only to find that the thing I put in the recycling bin this morning which I thought was off my old Kenwood, was for this machine  so its still useless! I will need to buy that blinkin' bit now. (bin day today :( ) What a stupid c*w - that bit has been tossing about in my drawer for two years, why couldn't I just have held onto it?

    Evening all

    Happy birthday Sunnyday x

JackieO - well done on the essay! Do you wanna come and write mine for me?! ;)

    Another beautiful day today :D.

Work kids did an afternoon tea and bingo session in an old people's home today. They did really well, bit nervous to start but soon got into the swing of it! We took the old people out into the garden to enjoy the sunshine, they said afterwards that sometimes they go weeks without going outside as there aren't enough carer's to take them :(. As work kids did so well we stopped for an ice cream on the way home :D.

The minute I walked in an old colleague text me to say she and her baby were walking on the prom by my flat if I fancied popping down to say hi. So I went out to meet her for half hour. Her baby is adorable, 7 month old girl.

Gonna make tea now and hopefully write another lesson plan tonight, although I really CBA'd and just wanna relax, so we'll see.

OS wise - DW been on and emptied. dinner is YS stirfry from morrisons with noodles.

    Have a good night all

JackieG I share your pain. I did exactly the same thing!!!!!! Had bits kicking round in the cupboard for ages, thought they were for an old FP. Chucked them, only to realise they were the bits for my then current one. I was gutted!!! At least mine still worked to chop.

Oh, and as far as you doing it on recycling day goes....... my dh is a nightmare for keeping stuff. I was tidying 2 weeks ago or so, and came across stuff from the job centre from when he was unemployed briefly 5 yrs ago. I thought to myself ' at least I can get rid of these bits'. Put them in the recycling bin that night and the binmen were there unusually early at 7 am next day. At 10 am my dh phoned from work to ask for these very same bits of paper as he needed them for a work security check that goes back 5 yrs!!! How is that for timing?
I pretended I hadn't seen them for years, phoned the job centre and then phoned dh back at work and was able to tell him that they were going to send out an official letter right away with all the info he needed, rather than the wee scrappy bits from home. Phew, that was close!
    Timing eh?

Have just witnessed the Hot God on FB too BItsy ;):D

He hates that picture and wants me to take it down. What an spoil all your fun ;) :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your friend :( xxx
He has a ginger tom cat sat next to him who seems to have adopted us:rotfl: he has been coming everyday since last week. It has done DS the power of good to have an interesting cat to play with as ours just sits there...she might as well be stuffed. We seem to have become the local cat soup kitschen, they all come here.

Well she's not called fat cat for no reason ;)

Can I have some of your patience as DS is REALLY trying mine ATM. Lots of strops to the word no, telling me he won't be my friend, can't come to his birthday party that sort of thing  Can wait for him to go back to school if this carries on :o

We took the old people out into the garden to enjoy the sunshine, they said afterwards that sometimes they go weeks without going outside as there aren't enough carer's to take them :(.

That's so sad, we really don't treat our old folk well, left to fester in some home with no other entertainment than the TV :( Makes me very sad, not how I'd like to end my days.

Rosie - Oh dear (sorry pun IS intended ;)) Not sure what you can do about the deer eating everything although confess to be everso slightly envious that you live so close to such wildlife :o

H bought the new Tron film........hmmmm wasn't a big fan of the first one, not sure I am a fan of this one either :o

    Evening all,

It has been a glorious day here so I was out weeding and doing bits for quite a while....we were going to do the hanging baskets but OH was helping replace the slates that came off the house during the winter....at least we should be ok for another 200 years with the roof now( I wish!) Did go and get the compost we needed and some plants, although found an expensive place to get them. Visited DD3 while out, we had a nice cup of tea and a chat....she is very happy as people who viewed house on Saturday are going to take it, which is great, they are paying very near asking price too, which she hadn't expected to get, so she's a happy camper.

Bought a large chicken in my travels (with a voucher) roasted it for dinner with some stuffing, butternut squash and onion, steamed some broccoli and heated the left over mash from yesterday....very nice, will have to freeze some of chicken as it would last far too long for us...I can eat the same dinner day after day but OH hates doing that....he needs a bit of starvation I think to put manners on him!

HH glad to hear that your BIL is getting better....is he the one who had problems with ex before??

JackieO congratulations on good essay mark.

Jackieg....hugs re bits....I usually do the same kind of thing.

NPM....you wouldn't lie to an old woman re lumps would you??

Hoping to get a little knitting done before I fall asleep (eyes drooping at present!)

Hugs to all who need or want one, sleep well and stay safe

    Evening Troops

I am typing from the palatial comfort of our trailer tent :T It's been a fantastic, warm sunny day and we have mostly been on the beach :D.

Hester, am thinking of you and your family and hope your BIL improves quickly.

Sunnyday, hope you had a lovely birthday today.

Bedebtfree, well done on the Ebay sales and hope you have a great weekend camping.

Camelot, well done on the cycling. Probably sensible to do one day on and one day aff and build up your stamina if you haven't done it for a while.

JackieG, hope the meet up goes well, I've got a friend like that and we always start where we left off chatting last time, if that make sense.

Feeling a bit stressed and worried. They seem to have a strong suspicion that BIL's "lump" is a cancerous tumour. He is having it removed and biopsied etc. on Thursday. My sister is an incredible, strong woman, but I saw what nursing her MIL before she passed last year did to her, and am worried sick for them and my niece and nephew. Pat is only 39, your prayers would be most appreciated, I am not religious myself, but they are.

    (Thanks to NPM xxx )

Bitsy DS says that kind of thing to me all the time when he is angry or having meltdown...I get " I wish you would die", "i am going to get another mummy" and other such delights.
He then says i am the best mummy in the world once he calms himself:p
