Remember PPC-GUY on here who owned a PPC he said his relationship with the BPA was every year he sent them a cheque, and every year they sent him a receipt!

The only reason he did was for access to the electronic link to DVLA! Probably the only reason the PPC's bother being a member! Plus the imagined belonging of the BPA they use to try and validate their demands.

Coupon-Mad, out of interest how do you know so much about this subject...I don't mean to sound arrogant just interested and making sure that as I'm avoiding the PPC's letters is legal and the right course of action to take, which I agree...basically will i get into any problems with the autorities ?

You are taking these private parking companies too seriously. They are not the police, they are not the council, they are just a bunch of private citizens with no more power than you or me to demand money off people. What "authorities" are you worried about?

What's the law got to do with one private citizen asking another private citizen for money? The people who the authorities should be going after are the PPC's for the way they try and frighten people into paying money they don't owe. It could be classed as deception, or even demanding money with menaces. We are the innocent parties here. The PPC's are the guilty ones.

Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Sometimes it's just not worth the effort.

By reading up on it, having had a fake PCN myself 3 years ago. :D

Then coming on here and pepipoo forums almost every day as I think this unregulated industry needs to be brought down completely.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I learnt from burying my head in the sand, being bloody minded and ignoring their letters.......and was amazed when I read that my burying my head in the sand approach was actually the correct action!

Yes, Parking Eye gave me a lovely 'ticket' about 3 years ago now for overstaying by 4 minutes....4 minutes because my youngest son was having an asthma attack and we couldn't get back to the car before the free time expired as we had been too bleeding busy for the last hour trying to get him to breath properly!

So I gave them a piece of my mind and then ignored them thereafter.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
