can anybody reccommend any 'nice' bedtime stories for a (nearly) 3 year old? made the mistake of reading a book to my DD tonight before reading it to myself and it was abit upsetting (the animals got eaten by a fox, the end!). my mum had given me a load of my old story books from out of the attic and tbh most of them are abit unpleasant!

if anyone can reccommend any i will see if they sell them in my local extra and throw the odd one in with a few pofitable items (or a toothbrush ;) ). if not i will search for them online.

so sorry for the off topic post, but i suppose there is dtd thrown in there too lol

How about The Gruffalo - all the others by the Julia Donaldson/Axel Scheffler combo are also good, my fave is The Snail and the Whale.

Edit: Sorry, now I see I'm not alone in recommending this LOL!

How very dare you! This wife couldn't give a fig about the Royal Wedding but even the Royal Wedding is preferable to football or rugby.

And if you don't behave we'll send your wife a link to this thread and you'll be in the do house.:D

    I'm afraid you stand corrected.

These are the crucial last weeks of the Footie Season.

ashe - is that a bottle of reggae reggae sauce in the last one?!

haha yeah, turkish food is rough sometimes so we always take a bottle of nandos, reggae reggae & daves insanity to wash it down with. the locals all go wild over it. well the reggae and nandos anyway, the daves makes them :mad::mad:

Just spotted a possible superb DTD!!!

    Muller mini crunch corners! http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=260637321
    £3.29 in Tesco
£1 in Asda (Product Code: 1975928)

DTD £4.58!!! (gives £1.29 to spend on non dtd stuff)

    It's only a game

Not Chicken Licken and Foxy Loxy !! I find the Gingerbread man terrifying myself. Stick to the Disney classics I say.

Yes it was Chicken Licken!!! She loved all the names and laughed saying 'he's coming now' then all of a sudden it ends with them all being eaten.. :(
