Jodie+Matt wrote: »can anybody reccommend any 'nice' bedtime stories for a (nearly) 3 year old? made the mistake of reading a book to my DD tonight before reading it to myself and it was abit upsetting (the animals got eaten by a fox, the end!). my mum had given me a load of my old story books from out of the attic and tbh most of them are abit unpleasant!
if anyone can reccommend any i will see if they sell them in my local extra and throw the odd one in with a few pofitable items (or a toothbrush). if not i will search for them online.
so sorry for the off topic post, but i suppose there is dtd thrown in there too lol
i came across the same problem as you when i read little one the ugly duckling.......my word those ducks were mean !!! i tried to put her the new dumbo on tv but she ended up crying at that because they wouldnt let him see his mommy.... sometimes i think im a bad mum cos i shudda kinda seen it comming but i really didnt. we like the mr men books but they are a little but long winded especially before bed, and they do notice even at 3 years old if you skip a page

Julia Donaldson is a must, her stories are fabulous. And generally I think you usually can't go wrong with publishers Walker Books.
I think I might go to bed, having waited for my vouchers all dayreally need to get a life lol...........
I love the Hairy Maclary books by Lynley Dodd...great rhyming books0 -

I know! Thinking about it now, there might be another that is closer, but even then it is about 6 miles, will have to check if that one is still open or not.. shame there isn't one within walking distance anymore though0 -
1. I use 2-3 vouchers per day. Used 4 once but it was too time consuming, so killed a voucher on the cider deal (4 for £25)
2. On my own I'll go back in and get another shop after dropping first off in the car, then third shop in another tesco. if i've got a mate with me they usually do 1 voucher and do a shop with me the first time, then get their own voucher the 2nd time while i pay for 3rd set. saves a lot of time this way.
I initially focused on alcohol and when I decided I had enough, moved onto food and cleaning products etc.
I ran out of space in my drinks cupboard (double kitchen cupboard) and now my wardrobe looks like this:
:rotfl:
I do feel a a little bit guilty. a little bit. but I've spent a fortune in tesco and its not breaking any laws, just dodging T&C's.
probably had over a grand out of them since i started doing it (back before the £20 limit!)
That is small fry!!
Here is the inside of my wardrobe!0 -
