Bit similar to the chicken breast with bacon and cheese DTD, has anyone tried it with the BBQ breasts as i loveee these from Tesco so would be interested to know if anyone has tested it out at all:

    Tesco: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=268236846 £3.50
Asda: http://groceries.asda.com/asda-estore/search/searchcontainer.jsp?trailSize=1&searchString=chicken+bbq&domainName=Products&headerVersion=v1&_requestid=240508 £2.65 (third listed, sorry couldn't link direct for some reason)

So if it worked the DTD would be £1.70, net cost £1.80, and not sure if anyone else has had them before but like i said they are really quite yummy :D.

Being a bit nosy, how long is your bus ride home? Could you invest in a coolbag so you could get frozen stuff home in time? Then after work you'd have an hour and 20 mins to get your shop in, instead of in your lunchbreak.

i do love how people are trying to get scottish lass some shopping:lovethoug:A, it is a shame that someone who is putting in so much effort isn't reaping as many benefits as others:(
i've been sat thinking how i (we) could help

1 - email you one of my vouchers? , nope won't help - its the shopping she can't do!
2 - send you some dtd shopping in the post, hhmm probably cost more in postage than its worth.
3 - but then, we could all send a pot noodle, they're pretty light! (:rotfl:to scottish lass opening the door to the postman to be handed 500 pot noodles!)

    ill keep thinking:o

Clearly they [Tesco] found it hard to make a promise they couldn't keep." Asda Spokesperson.

I say Tesco found it EASY to make promises it still cannot keep.

If its the innocent voucher sent in the post as an easter card you can't use it - they emailed everyone stating the barcode was wrong and they're sending new ones out - if you use the old one it adds over £6.00 to your shop!
:money: wow i havent even got that email but yes it was the easter card.
thanks so much would never have known:beer:

20 mins on a good day - at this time of the year up to 10 mins can be added by the various tractors and combines that are out and about lol the joys of a rural community! Then a further 5-10 minute walk home. Problem with getting the later bus home is that it goes a different way home and adds even more time on!

If it wasn't for the fact that the area I live in is so beautiful I'd hate it! lol

TBH unless Quorn comes on to the DTD list then the frozen stuff isn't too big an issue. I do fancy the croquettes though, LOVE them! I'm off next weekend (although we're forecast for snow!!!!! :snow_laug ) ao hopefully I can round up a few peeps that fancy the taxi idea.

Main thing on the list for tomorrow is Easter eggs :easter_os for the beavers and, if I work it out right!, a nice wee dtd for them :)

Gonna get dolmio red and white, fruit and fibre, 7 up, strawberry comfort and surf for me too from my £16 voucher :)

Love this stuff( and hadn't tried it before the last time it was reduced in asda)

Has anyone tried the Leeds Tesco Metro store? I think I'll pop in on my dinner tommorow for some overpriced flumps! Does DTD work in Metro stores?

If it's the one on 007 street yes, worked last week. Doubt they'll have flumps though, I think that will only be in the really big stores? Take a long list with you as they don't stock everything. Luckily I managed to get 2 Kencos, 2 4.49 surfs, shower gel & toothpaste. All bunged in small overnight wheelie bag & taken on 100 mile train journey the next day to get back home :D.

oooohh, looks like the Hardys will be a goer come 20th, only cabernet shiraz & chardonnay, if they're going to pay me to drink it they could at least give me sauvignon blanc :rotfl:
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
