OK i know you brainy DTD experts can help me out on this one .... i have an innocent voucher worth 2.99 ( ie innocent fruit smothiies/drinks) and a £5 voucher againts any mars product.... could any smart person think of a way i could buy anything with these vouchers and get some DTDness back :) thanks in advance.

If its the innocent voucher sent in the post as an easter card you can't use it - they emailed everyone stating the barcode was wrong and they're sending new ones out - if you use the old one it adds over £6.00 to your shop!

But if an item is not listed on asda site and tesco use asda site as basis for DTD wont it come back N/A?

    However, YOO LIGHT THING VANILLA & TOFFEE 6x180g is listed on s/s (T: £2.89 A: £1.00)

I know thats what I was looking at when you posted. Maybe they compare to a comparable product?
Clearly they [Tesco] found it hard to make a promise they couldn't keep." Asda Spokesperson.

I say Tesco found it EASY to make promises it still cannot keep.

  • Did three shops this evening, one through the SS to setup a 3rd series of vouchers, bought the £10.15 Finish Quantumatic starter kit (I don't even have a diswasher! :D ) - 2 x flash wipes, 1 flash bathroom spray and 1 strawberry comfort (last one on the shelf). Used the £2 and £5 finish vouchers, so total cost £11.30 which will result £18.60 DTD voucher. Was originally going to get a Finish kit and two Prince's red salmon, but the shelf was empty! Then decided to get the Wolf Blass but none to be seen either... I saw a woman with the last two in her trolley and just thought "I know what you're up to" and gave her 'the look' ;)

Went back in for another two shops, paid for at the same time but split, I'm becoming more confident doing this now, it was my second time I've done it. The SA, although middle-aged was definitely not a trout, she even remembered me from a week last Wednesday because I asked for my old receipt back but signed. On that occasion I'd managed to leave my debit card in her machine and was almost out of the shop before I heard her shouting and running after me! The DTDs vouchers wouldn't scan today and instead of typing in the barcode she just put down that I'd paid in full by cash for both transactions, I hope she doesn't get in trouble! As I was leaving she shouted "see you on Wednesday!" :D

Used up one of my vouchers on a normal shop today and was amazed what you can get if you shop carefully.

Tesco have world foods on 3 for 2 at the moment so bought 3 of the Jalfrezi Tesco sauces at 77p each (£1.54 for 3) and the dolmio pasta bake sauces (3 for 2) and loads of other stuff.

My cupboards are soooooooo full I think I will have enough food till Christmas!:rotfl:

Last month I had a £50 voucher from Sainsburys so still have lots of food from that.

  • Thank you for the suggestion :)

Normally I'm quite alright with the whole public transport/walking thing. Just occasionally things like this come up and I get a bit P O'd lol

I get a lift to work most mornings and if I don't get a lift then I can get on the service bus that doubles as the school bus (lots of fun........ ha ha ha). I get the bus home, it leaves 10 mins after I finish so not so bad. Unless I miss it............ then it's an hour and 20 mins wait........... Grrr!

What I REALLY need is for Tesco to do a DTD on driving lessons.......... lol
Being a bit nosy, how long is your bus ride home? Could you invest in a coolbag so you could get frozen stuff home in time? Then after work you'd have an hour and 20 mins to get your shop in, instead of in your lunchbreak.

I read in the last thread it is only the metro stores (apart from the larger, main ones) that do the DTD.
Although a few said express did but never tried any of them tbh, i use a main Tesco.

can spend them in them all just expresses (and some metros) you cant enter the new reciept in the price checker...
