I plan on getting 2 x Persil Small And Mighty Non Bio 1890Ml tomorrow (today) at T for £12 each, resulting in a £20 voucher. Hope nothing changes in the mean time.

Had a funny experience today in our local tesco extra.
While OH was doing a DTD shop, I went up the escalator to the clothes dept to get a couple of cheapy t-shirts for my forthcoming hols.
I picked a couple took them to the nearby tills. The lady SA rung the 1st one through, then when she scanned the second, she said -"I'm sorry - I can't sell you this one, you will have to choose another style."
"Why not?" says me, a bit flummoxed.
"Because it's coming up as costing 1p, which is a system error and I can't sell it you for that." she says.
So I just bought the one and jogged on.
Weird. I've heard of people buying tins of tomatos for 1p bought not a t-shirt.
Might go & try to buy it again tomorrow.
Oooh which tshirt was it, can you describe it in detail please?0 -
My Tesco have figured out a way around people getting dtd on roast beef - they're now only selling joints costing £7. Still £8.48 per kg, but every one is weighed out, and labelled (as is the shelf) at £7. Therefore under 1kg, and no dtd.
Ah yes, my two main stores were both doing that on Fri and Sat but today there were new stock also in the chiller cabinet beside all the sticked £7 joints and these were the £8.48 per kgit does pay to keep an eye out, I even left a few for the next "friend of Martin". :money:
That said have to wait till Voucher Hour tomorrow to get them confirmed but cant see a problem.

just wanted to say thanks for some of your fab DTD finds!
i have bought loads of chorizo, smoked salmon and antipasto thanks to you!
You're welcome Karlie. Sorry, I find it hard to follow this thread. Hence why I'm posting this about 215 pages later, lol.
That's the kind of stuff I'm really interested in with this DTD. Don't get me wrong, I've stocked up on toothpaste, cleaning products and cornettos, but I'm really looking out for the luxury dining deals. I've tried a couple since but haven't been as lucky.
I bought a fairly expensive bottle of Tesco Finest red wine today that I think has a possibility of comparing to an ASDA Extra Special. If it pays off, it'll be one that Tesco pay us to take, so I'll keep my fingers crossed and report back if it works.
If anyone is up for another smoked salmon gamble, I'm pretty sure this one would pay off.
http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=268409936
as it would compare to...
http://groceries.asda.com/asda-estore/search/searchcontainer.jsp?trailSize=1&searchString=smoked+salmon&domainName=Products&headerVersion=v1&_requestid=256361
But it would still be about £2 net cost (hence why I haven't bought it). Nowhere near as good as the Scottish Finest but might be worth a pop if you want some with a different twang
PS. If you reply to me, it might be worth PMing me which page it's on, lol. I wish I'd have paid more attention at primary school reading classes. This thread literally moves faster than I can read.0 -
