No, but the jar really hurts if it smacks you on the head :)

I believe so. Most nuts are as well as they produce natural forms of the strain.

Thanks. I had no idea. I will "google" it.

    Cushelle Toilet Tissue 4 rolls

    Tesco £2.51
    ASDA £1.75
    dtd £1.52
    net £0.99

tesco does compare this product as it compared for tbw yesterday in post #6751 when the price was £3.50 in both stores.
    I will inform ss crew.

the old Tesco mag had 50p off voucher for these.. Valid til 30th April if anyone still has that, which would make the toilet rolls 49p if the DTD worked. Not for me, but could be useful for someone.

    DONATIONS

There has been discussion today regarding donating to the spreadsheet team and/or donating to charity.
We have discussed this and none of us on the spreadsheet team ever had any thought of personal gain before volunteering to help.
The idea of donating to charities is however a lovely idea and gives us all the chance to make a difference in the same way that DTD is making a difference to our lives.

Many of us are already being charitable and there are a lot of heartwarming posts on these threads of people making shoeboxes for soldiers, donating to animal rescue centres, giving easter eggs to childrens' homes, giving food to elderly neighbours, etc, etc.
These are all brilliant and we truly believe that spreading the benefits of DTD can only be a positive thing.

For those who do still wish to do a donation however, we have added a new tab to the SS entitled donations. On this tab are 3 suggested charities with links to the spreadsheet donation pages for those charities. All donations are secure and go directly to the charities. The three charities here have been chosen by the SS team as being meaningful to them and with the range of the three charities there should be something that appeals to everyone.

We emphasise that this is totally voluntary. We neither expect nor demand that people donate, but if people do wish to give something back, feel very welcome to click on the links and make a donation.

We hope that this meets with your approval :)

Had a funny experience today in our local tesco extra.

While OH was doing a DTD shop, I went up the escalator to the clothes dept to get a couple of cheapy t-shirts for my forthcoming hols.

I picked a couple took them to the nearby tills. The lady SA rung the 1st one through, then when she scanned the second, she said -"I'm sorry - I can't sell you this one, you will have to choose another style."

"Why not?" says me, a bit flummoxed.

"Because it's coming up as costing 1p, which is a system error and I can't sell it you for that." she says.

So I just bought the one and jogged on.

Weird. I've heard of people buying tins of tomatos for 1p bought not a t-shirt.

Might go & try to buy it again tomorrow.

Oh- forgot to say, I bought the wrong Dentyl mouthwash today. It said 'icy fresh mint' for £4 instead of mint at £3. So check carefully.

Seriously, I find I can get a 3G signal if I stand towards the front of the store; maybe no more than ten yards down an aisle from the checkouts. Must be because I'm closer to the windows perhaps? Any further back into the store and my 3G and voice signal dies.

I've exactly the same problem, it's also a pain if I lose my OH in there as I can't call him to see where he is.

    Unconfirmed deal

    T £8.17 A £4.00 DD £8.34 962ml

only prob I can see is that Asda description excludes the word Excel, however I am sure this worked on the smaller ones a few weeks ago.

    Any thoughts?

If anyone tries this, don't forget the £1 off coupon from supersavvyme- the link was on the spreadsheet:

Yes....once clothes have been out on display for a number of seasons, they reduce them to 1p to identify which ones need to be taken off and "scrapped". I picked up a load of 1p clothes items last year including quite a few pairs of stig socks. They're not supposed to sell them at that price, but if you go through self service till, you should be ok.

    which T-shirts were they?

Out of interest how do you cook it? Fish not my speciality! Thanks

i cooked this tonight: put cod loins in an ovenproof dish leaving a bit of space between each one (i cut in half as they were too big for 1 per person). mix a tin of tesco ratatouille (it's really good - you'll find it in tinned veg aisle) with a bit of white wine and pour over. bake in oven pre heated at 180 degrees c for approx 30 mins - pull thickest part apart gently with a knife and fork and it should look cooked/flake easily.
serve with some basmati rice - everyone thought i had been slaving in the kitchen for hours!
btw - ratatouille not on dtd but it's really good - about 45p a tin and also makes a good pasta sauce if you whizz it up (or even don't whizz it).
hope you enjoy - let me know how you get on.
