  • Thank you for the offer - very kind :) but i'm up in the North East of Scotland lol

Neighbours........... well, lets just say if there was a neighbours from hell threasd then I'd be the founder :rotfl:

and friends - all in the same boat I'm afraid, none of us can drive!

Just been thinking the best bet might be splitting the £15 taxi fare home between 3 or 4 of us (surely make it up from our DTDs lol). Could head in on a Sunday afternoon when I finish work. Ok, so it's only one shop a week, but if I manage to do smaller ones for the originally quoted items (forgot to mention tesco fruit and fibre.... yum!) during the week then will have a nice wee stash of items building up :)

If you're out in the sticks then on your taxi shopping trip then I bet you could shop for your neighbours :rotfl:and put several shops through one after the other.... I write mine and 'my mums' lists on diff bits of paper, just in case I get hassled!

Got some printer ink cartridges (didn't know what else to get) today to get rid of my £20 DTD voucher. Went to cashier who called over a supervisor. He explained to me that I would have to pay £24 in cash for the printer ink, and that the cashier would scan the £20 DTD voucher after the transaction and give me £20 cash in hand.

Very strange. Ended up with a receipt showing I had paid £24 in cash, and then on a different receipt I got £20 cash back. Very tempted to take the printer ink back and get my £24 back. I don't know if I am naughty enough though.

    Anyone else had this happen?
  • LMAo could not be further apart then if we tried

How about another Beaver leader or Scouting member?

    or do some online shops?

    regards

I know! Nice to find someone else on here from Scouting though :)

Online shops'll be an option after the 28th (payday lol) seeing as how you have to lay out the money first! Actually got a list going on tesco that I've been updating every day after checking the SS he he he

Just have to hope it's still going then............. ;)

I haven't had time to catch up on the last 12 or so pages. What's the sausage mystery?

hmmmm I'm not sure to be honest with you.

I've seen a couple of people posting sausage deals but people questioning how they got them at that price.

Looks like a price reduction or increase(a few too many glasses of Wolf Blass hic)not sure.

That was very kind of you :)

I have found this website which has info on lots of shelters, which I expect people could donate to, but the homeless people I'd really like to give to are those actually living on the streets, does anyone know any way I can do that without just going up to them and giving them the food?

The issue I have with just going up to them personally and giving the food is there are a few homeless people on my street and I'd be passing them quite regular and wouldn't want to feel awkward or rude not giving something, and they often sleep right opposite my house and I'd feel odd ignoring them outside - hope that makes sense and I don't sound like a ignorant or crazy person! :(
you could try you local salvation army many of them run soup kitchens ect for the homeless i donated this way in the past from past h&b hourds and when i have a glutt of fruit and veg from my kitchen garden
not religious myself but these guys do an amazing job

Hmmm tricky one, I should think flumps are discusting after your breakdown of ingredients, I'd be put of if you described most foods that way, But i'm a lifetime flump lover, so a tough cookie to crack.
