Hmmm tricky one, I should think flumps are discusting after your breakdown of ingredients, I'd be put of if you described most foods that way, But i'm a lifetime flump lover, so a tough cookie to crack.

I got some Vanish Oxi Multi Stain Remover Powder 1.5kg (Barcode 5011417542910) this evening. I double checked on the price checker scanner in the aisle and when I put it through the checkout and yes it was £12. The thing is the SEL said £12 but there was a big Vanish display with a picture of 3 different types of Vanish including this one stating "was £11.03 (yes £11.03) now £6". I am presuming this could be for tomorrow. I thought about going to CS to get DTD cash of £12 but not wanting to have receipt tampered with decided to wait for £16 DTD voucher.

A seperate thought - If this promo was harming Mr T as much as people were thinking then as soon as they paid DTD on items, The products would obviously be highlighted on their systems so then Mr T could simply reduce the prices to avoid any more DTD vouchers so why don't they?
I think that for every DTDer there are more than enough customers unaware that pay the over inflated prices including those who think "If Mr T is offering DTD then they must be cheaper so I will change from Asda or whereever to Tesco" to subsidise us DTDers result = increased profit hence I think Tesco would quite happily let the promo continue at least I hope so. Even though it seems to have taken over my spare time now
  • Has anyone tried the Leeds Tesco Metro store? I think I'll pop in on my dinner tommorow for some overpriced flumps! Does DTD work in Metro stores?
  • Just checking please dont 'flame' me

I have a good time on here talking to you all, what am I going to do when DTD finishes. Does MSE have a general chat room?

If not can we create one? If so do you all live there normally?
Clearly they [Tesco] found it hard to make a promise they couldn't keep." Asda Spokesperson.

I say Tesco found it EASY to make promises it still cannot keep.

Mmmm, doesn't sound nice but I don't suppose it's any different to what was in the gravy made from my leg of lamb at the weekend (thank Mr T btw ;))
  • Tesco Finest Raw King Prawns 250g are selling for £2.49 in my local but listed at £4.99 on the spreadsheet!!

That will be because it's frozen king prawns. ;)

The frozen ones are £2.50 in my Tesco (both the raw and cooked).

I've been here for a few years and you tend to move from thread to thread. I think one of the main homes here was the boots thread but that got closed because of all the bickering.

I have never been on a thread this long, not even the boots one interested me that much.

I think a lot of people just flit from one deal/glitch to the other.

I have saved an absolute fortune since I disovered this site a few years ago. This has to be THE best forum in forum land....I love it! You do get the odd person who rubs you up the wrong way but it's worth putting up with to get a good bargain every now and then.

I know that probably hasn't answered your question lol
