Have you tried liftshare.com? You need to sign up and add your journey then you can search for people offering similar journeys. It's worth a try, and even if you can't find a lift to and from tescos it might be useful for other journeys - I know how difficult it can be getting from a to b in a rural area!

If not can we create one? If so do you all live there normally?

This'll be moved to the 'it's gone but was it any good?' section once it's over, so we can congregate there for a while! :)

I was thinking the same as you yesterday. It's nice to have a wee chatter with like minded peeps :)

I used to love them and must have ate thousands. Then i saw how they were made and what from. I felt sick watching.

Never bought them since that day.

But its only the same as anything made with gelatin in it. It's amazing how many things contain gelatin - some yoghurts, mousses, lots of sweets and loads of other stuff.

I dont know why they work, but I can assure you that they do, and it does not change your dtd, just remember to put another £7 of shopping in your basket : )

Hubby has just come back laughing his head off! He scanned the £5 off voucher and it worked no problem. Tried the £2 one and it said 'assistance needed', SA came over and tried to help him. Still no joy. Eventually another SA tried to help and told him that it only works on the smaller packs, not the 56 size! Ecentually hubby accepted defeat and used a DTD voucher and £3 cash to pay for it, instead of using a smaller DTD voucher.

I'm just glad he saw the funny side of it!! :D

A seperate thought - If this promo was harming Mr T as much as people were thinking then as soon as they paid DTD on items, The products would obviously be highlighted on their systems so then Mr T could simply reduce the prices to avoid any more DTD vouchers so why don't they?
I think that for every DTDer there are more than enough customers unaware that pay the over inflated prices including those who think "If Mr T is offering DTD then they must be cheaper so I will change from Asda or whereever to Tesco" to subsidise us DTDers result = increased profit hence I think Tesco would quite happily let the promo continue at least I hope so. Even though it seems to have taken over my spare time now

Yes i dont expect its really effecting them now they have the £20 cap. was rather stupid when they first started it without a cap.
just to think some highly overpaid executive first thought of it, without really thinking.
if the offer is withdrawn its a big boost for asda.
    so where will it end?
expect that cap will get smaller or even just a "we match any price"

Got some printer ink cartridges (didn't know what else to get) today to get rid of my £20 DTD voucher. Went to cashier who called over a supervisor. He explained to me that I would have to pay £24 in cash for the printer ink, and that the cashier would scan the £20 DTD voucher after the transaction and give me £20 cash in hand.

Very strange. Ended up with a receipt showing I had paid £24 in cash, and then on a different receipt I got £20 cash back. Very tempted to take the printer ink back and get my £24 back. I don't know if I am naughty enough though.

    Anyone else had this happen?
Take it back say you got the wrong one. Keep cash and try again I reckon

Has anyone tried the Leeds Tesco Metro store? I think I'll pop in on my dinner tommorow for some overpriced flumps! Does DTD work in Metro stores?

Works in Metro stores, but not Express
