Also i seen a sign in tesco today and wondered the terminolgy was something like tesco operates a civil debt recovery (cant remember the last part but not seen it any other store and it was neer the beers. Think some one mentioned something about civil recovery earlier in the thread.

They have got that message and a mesasge about security cameras around the beers, wines and spirits in mine aswell , i recon it is to try and stop shoplifters.

And then u may be eligible for the 15 percent staff discount on the dtds.

if you mean on the actual receipt, i think it's an indicator that you've paid vat on it.

    Newbie basic Q!

Could somebody please clatify something for me, I've read the info post but couldn't see any mention of this...

Does the item HAVE to be on the Tesco website to qualify?

The items I want to buy - Ambre Solaire moisturising sun spray F15/F20/F30 - are on the spreadsheet as confirmed BUT they are not on the Tesco website itself.

They are on the Asda website and I can see Tesco sell them from looking at 'mysupermarket' but the ones that are eligible for DTD don't seem to be on the Tesco website itself.

    Thanks :)

Civil Recovery is how Tesco deal with shoplifters, it means that although the police are not involved, it results in a ban and a hefty fine which is enforced.

Unless you're stealing I wouldn't pay it any mind. It replaces the 'Shoplifters will be prosecuted' signs displayed many years back now.

    Re Beef!!!!

Can anybody confirm that the Silverside beef with the 023658 barcode matches against the £4 beef at Asda? I thought it was only the topside beef w/cooking fat at Tesco??
    Nice to save.

It only has to be asda.com (not tesco.com)
    Nice to save.
