Tesco/Asda Pricechecker Thread - part 5

  • Yes but that turnover is costing them money, its not making any profit. 7 shops is a £140 loss for Tesco.

Tesco yes, but the stores takings will be up. I don't think the vouchers are offset against the stores takings. Buy d/w tablets etc, then come back & buy again, & again... so more revenue than usual.

The 2 ltr coke bottles may not longer work, today Tesco had all of these for 3 for £3, matching Asda.

Nope the SEL mentions £3 but it isn't 3 for £3 you buy a fajita kit and a bottle of coke for £3. The dtd should still be working fine.:D

My guess is that their DTD promo budget is extra flexible, hence the relatively long campaign and extensive TV promo. And I think it is also very effective campaign - they keep drumming the message that they are cheaper than ASDA. Few more weeks and your average consumer will have it tattooed on their brain "Tesco is cheaper than ASDA, they guarantee it".

Unless they pull it whilst ASDA are still running their price guarantee..... they'll have a field day if that happens

Can DTD be generated from a Tesco Metro? Thinking of doing a 1 mile trip instead of a 12mile round trip...all thanks to Adam!

You can buy more than one item its not a problem, just keep an eye out for multibuy offers these can increase/decrease the DTD depending on whether its ASDA or Tesco running them.

anyone not receive a voucher today? I received one from a womble but not from a DTD shop. I've tried entering receipt details but says processing, pressed back and resubmitted a few times and it's the same. Will it evenually turn up? Might have made a boo boo, 5 bottles of Stella Cidre, my mate got 8 bottles on his 2nd DTD shop and it's come up N/A :(

I bought beef today, barcode was the same as spreadsheet. Not sure why the ones your parents were looking at would be different, tesco isn't smart enough to change the barcode to stop all the dtd'ers.

I was looking for the beef same packet but wrong barcode so daren't buy
