I've despatched kids back to their relevant homes so I suppose I ought to think about tea now before I go to Cubs.

    Congratulations sexy.

DS1 said a very rude word and has been sent to bed . Three steps forward, two steps back. I bet washing his mouth out with soap and water is prosecuteable these days but I am very tempted.

Snap my youngest has been smacked yesterday and today, I never smack and has been told he will get a bar of soap in his mouth (I have done that once before years ago to two of them, they remember it)

Dinner next plus washing to get in off the line. I did manage some of the hand sewing whilst at squash though.

    Welcome newbies

    Welcome back Mrs sexymouse

(((happier))) - I dont really know what to say. DD's dad isnt interested in her now that he has a baby with his wife. She is forbidden from writing cards from her and the baby as 'he isnt your brother, he's your half brother and it isnt appropriate.' The half bit is always emphasised, just in case she forgets! Needless to say, she has minimum contact with them, which is a huge shame. They just cant see that the baby is missing out as well as DD :(

Waiting for Sky to phone me at 1800 hours. My house phone has been out of order for about 2 and a half weeks. I am appalled at the grammar in the email I received from them today. I think a letter will be going to Customer Services. Might ask for a refund.

I've dysoned the LR and thats it. But I was volunteering all afternoon, not just SOMFADN :D

Caught up with fred, but too much to remember (or for multi-quote to cope with). Hi! to all newcomers and returners, 'good holiday'-vibes and welcome backs as appropriate.

I need another cuppa while I write a list for the rest of the day and log my slightly bigger than planned lunch on the daily plate website.
The kettle is about to go on and I'll add a list in a bit.

Hex - have you read Ann Perry? Well written detective stories set in Victorian England (there's lots if I remember correctly).

    ETA
    Left for tonight (minimum):
tea for DSs and me - still waiting for divine inspiration, and they're both still playing.
put away all clean/folded/ironed clothes - FROG ALERT
tidy kitchen from breakfast/twinks making and clean halogen oven
    empty DW
rinse cat's towel and DS2's pjs (spillt milk) - not at the same time!
turn last bits of mixture into a few more twinks
    school work
finish shopping list for tomorrow's expedition

Well, I've had 2 large cups of tea and feel more tired than I was when I first sat down. The amount of calories I have left for tonight isn't helping - no idea what to have for tea. Bought a new covent garden tomato soup (reduced), which is fine, but I may be hungry again quickly. We may all end up with soup, as I bought a chicken one for DS1. The kids can have lots of bread and butter with it.

That's evil.. We don't have 'halves' or 'steps' in my family.. they are all brothers and sisters.. :(

KH made a big thing of telling the children Squeak was 'only' their 'half-sister' and it wasn't the best half!!! I said 'no she is your sister and no different to any of your other sisters and if I hear it said one more time you'll never go on a console again!'
Snap my youngest has been smacked yesterday and today, I never smack and has been told he will get a bar of soap in his mouth (I have done that once before years ago to two of them, they remember it)

Mine rarely get a smack either but at 6 standing and peeing your pants for a giggle is way out of order!

We have made easter nests, so DS2 is happy. DS1 said a very rude word and has been sent to bed . Three steps forward, two steps back. I bet washing his mouth out with soap and water is prosecuteable these days but I am very tempted.

I have a small box of soap flakes for such an occasion.. one flake for each word.. and I don't care if it is prosecutable I simpy won't have it... that said I don't think the box has been out for about 10 years it is probably more like a bar of soap now lol The knowledge the box is there and I'm not afraid to use it is enough threat I think.

Just lost a lengthy post via Firefox, humph.

SSL, that is awful. I remember you saying something when the baby was born too. SS2 is inevitably taken away for DS1s birthday despite it being our weekend, and to quote his mother, 'it doesn't matter, they aren't really related are they?'
MrsC, no and there are lots on Awesome, thanks.
Dusty/Pigpen - sounds like soap is the way to go then, I just mind being forced down a route I fundamentally disagree with.

WM into the TD - seems awful in this weather but it is towels and I hate cardboard washing :o

    As if!!!!!

I feel mean but I am looking forward to having my middle room back.. and food will last twice as long and the washing mountain will reduce..

Righty ho.. girlies to bed and DS2 banished to the shower and Missy Baloo can be fed some more and get her jims on too.

Carpet cleaner being taken to DS1's tonight so he can do those and hopefully they will be almost dry by tomorrow. I need to rehome the school clothes so he can have the CoD's (might mean rehoming some single bedding so the towels can live in the same cupboard and the school stuff can go in the CoD the towels are in currently.. I love shuffling stuff about.)

I have 4 days to find a WM, cooker, FF, a bed and a sofa.. go me!

1 huge binbag of stuff sorted from the drawers of the 2 small pinks.. now do I netmums it for £20 or pick out the boden bits and ebay them? Which I really don't want to do.. I hate the scrotes and thieves on ebay.

Saving boys drawers until Squeak is in bed.. theirs won't take long.. nothing DS3 has fits and half of DS2's can refill DS3's drawers.. sorted!
