Ticket from TPS

I got a ticket from TPS. Complete with nice photos of my car.
The time limit had changed on the car park. Signs are displayed but I hadn't read them. Instead of 2 hours its now 60 mins and I was 1 hour 20. So my own fault.
However this letter look rubbish Registered address Birmingham business park. I followed the nice parking charge link and the site looks cheap and nasty. I did imput the PCN number. I googled TPS and came across another site called TPS with the same logo but diffeent address, that site did not register the number on the letter.
I have till tuesday to pay before it goes up to £100.
Which of these sites are real?

Makes no difference which one is real - DON'T PAY!
These invoices are not enforceable, they are just speculative begging notices to pay, please spend about 40 minutes or so on this thread and its videos from the BBC Watchdog and learn about the scam that is blighting car parks in the UK
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3164256Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Hi
The photo is clearly time stamped. And I was over the time. So I can't argue it was unfair can I?
here is the TPS website that doesn't recognise the number
http://www.totalparking.co.uk/
this is the website I am to pay on www.parkingchargepayment.com
I have checked the VAT number on the letter and it is the same as the total parking web site address. It seems odd for one company to have 2 systems.0 -
Can I ask did you actually click on the link I gave you ? All these invoices are unfair as they are a penalty which is not legal!
Now it's your money, but if you want to pay the scammers money, why the hell come here in the first place ? You have been given advice, do you think everyone is lying in regards to these unenforceable invoices ?Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

HI Taffy
When I looked at the info / videos, it seemed to be people who had not broken the "contract" in any way.
I just wondered how the companies make money if they don't take it to court. Surely this process costs them money. This particular car park isn't busy so I don't know if they do successfully proscute. Can they use CCTV footage of the driver getting into the car?
I appreciate peoples advice.
Thanks again

They make their money by fooling enough people into paying up because of their letters which look official, but are not. Regarding contracts, the law of the land says that they can only claim for the actual material loss that has been suffered. Anything else would be regarded as an unfair penalty.
You are taking these clowns much too seriously. They are not the police, they are not the council. They are just a private company and you don't owe them a penny. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

They can't "prosecute" anyone, all they could do is issue a civil claim, but as they never do that anyway it doesnt matter. It also doesn't matter if they have CCTV of the driver - if I showed you a video of a random person getting into a car, could you name them? Neither can they.
As the others have said stop taking this seriously and just ignore.0 -

It seems odd for one company to have 2 systems.
The ticket is unenforceable and even in a legit situation, any photo would have minuscule value as evidence.
It is far from uncommon for scammers to operate multiple websites.0 -

No, it's saying that PPCs cannot enforce these pathetic fake tickets because they are not real PCNs and they have no authority to issue fines. What contract, you didn't see the signs? Who was driving, how do they know - the registered keeper does not have to tell them? What loss did they suffer?
Why do you think the amount they are charging can be remotely fair or representative of your visit to that car park? It's NOT 'your fault' - this is a well-known generic S>C>A>M> and if you look at my signature you will see that even Martin Lewis has called them Cowboys and urged people not to pay.
My car overstayed by over TWO HOURS in a car park 2 years ago. Did I pay the bogus PCN the company slapped on the windscreen? Don't be daft! I just had to ignore a few debt collector letters, some people on here have collected dozens and dozens of them!
Even if you had parked a limousine sideways across 4 bays all day, we would tell you to ignore this fake PCN! Parking for too long in a retail private car park isn't a crime - although of course you should steer clear of disabled/reserved bays and causing any obstruction, if only out of respect for other drivers. Either way, a PPC has no right to your money!I just wondered how the companies make money if they don't take it to court. Surely this process costs them money.
Errrr...they make money from people too stupid, credulous or uninformed who think they should just pay up (that's not any regular MSEers is it?). Then they make some more money from those who crumble when they send scary threatograms. They give up with those who do not reply after going through the usual letter-chain rigmarole, they just run out of steam and wouldn't have a clue about Court. This particular car park isn't busy so I don't know if they do successfully prosecute. Can they use CCTV footage of the driver getting into the car?
Prosecute means criminal offence - this is not even a real fine let alone an offence! Who do you think they are, they are not the Police, they have no authority to penalise you?
But if you mean do they do Small claims court, the answer in 99.99% of cases is a resounding NO!! If there are cameras all these companies ever do is show a pic of a car driving in and out. So what? And if they showed pics of a driver coming back to a car that does NOT show who PARKED the car there now does it? Please stop worrying about a S_C_A_M that most board regulars here have seen out - and we KNOW that nothing happens.
Most PPCs only do predictable threatograms, read the stickies at the top by Crabman and look back at it when the registered keeper gets the first scary letter in the chain, so you can see what comes next. TPS are on there in all their threatogram glory (there should be lots of letters for you to ignore!):

Stop taking the scumbags so seriously, you have done nothing wrong. Your credit rating will not be affected. And if you contact them you just give them information. So don't.
Please look at the TPS letter-chain (top sticky) and don't get surprised/scared by the letters.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
