On a serious note, can anyone tell me how I go about suing the OP? I have used 20 minutes of my valuable time reading this nonsense, and I fear I will never get that time back.

If she wants to settle out of court, the minimum I will accept is an iphone 4...

I am afraid your time is lost for ever.

You could 'phone the Police and report the time as missing, name the OP as the cause of your loss and ask for a crime number.

Of course, they may just say it is a civil matter the same as they told the OP.
• The OP is my favourite WUM since the wonderful "Mr Kringle" thread.

why? I only wanted what the insurance promised

:rotfl: why? The insurance policy was not in your name?

Love the idea of claiming on someone else's insurance policy, selling the phone to fund my holiday to Thailand with my boyfriend while I tell my sister she must break up with her boyfriend as he wants money and his phones back!

Nice :D come and be my best friend! I will give you the coat of my back and not expect it back. And when you say sorry on Facebook I will take that as apology accepted.

... I would say there's very little chance of you having to pay him. I suppose it all comes down to whether you think your relationship with your sister and your sister's relationship with this chap (who seems a paragon of restraint and generosity) is worth more than £400.
If he is sensible, the boyfriend will take heed of what has happened and end the relationship ASAP; whilst there may or may not be genes that make people more prone to larceny than others, it hardly seems wise to risk one's offspring turning out to be equally shonky.

Plus if he ends the relationship now, he'll not need to pay alimony.

SO what? listening to the story of why it meant so much to him, I think he should grow up and drop it.

Why should she, She should side with her family, its not like she loves him is it? She can do better

She can't do any worse than having a stupid greedy brain dead !!!!!! for a sister.

My sister is better than him, You ever really talk to him if you want something, he isn't conversational material, I struggle to see what she sees in him

If the sister is like you, she isn't good enough for Andy Pipkin.

If this post is real (which I doubt) you clearly have no moral fibre....so you'll do quite well in Thailand.

If this post is real (which I doubt) the OP clearly has no moral fibre .... would she like to join the Labour party?

this is a wind up, you have a bb curve, but you wanted a higher model. No insurance does this get real
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
