Morning LA....I hope you manage to get a job that you like as theres nothing worse than one you hate....I wish you luck with that....let us know how you get on...have a good day0

Thanks you two.
Well the search continues and I had a chat with fiancé today and I said that as soon as my overdraft is right down, I might just resign and go hell for leather to get another permanent job whilst I am working my notice as that way I can be up front about going off for interviews....and if I don't get anything I can temp again.
He agreed as he is sick of my job too! :rotfl:
So - if I didn't have enough incentive before to clear overdraft...I definitely do now.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

LA if thats a good enough reason i believe you will do it. Each day you think of poping to tescos/sainsburys in your luch break dont, all those £5~£20 add up and i bet most of it you dont need. Keep focussed, do something elsei am sure you will get there then you can get out of your [strike]lovely[/strike] horrid place of work and find the perfect more satisfying job for you... i am backing you all the way :j

Evening all. Time for a little ramble methinks before 'Heroes'.
Typing that always makes me want chocolate - damn Cadburys!
Well the overdraft is nearly £1000 which I knew it would be. Two weeks till pay day as well and Sainsburys have stopped taking cheques .
I have made some stupid financial decisions over the last two weeks - but, at least these types of mistakes are getting smaller as time goes by i.e. I called my brother on his mobile for 45 mins instead of getting him to call me back (we're both on Talk Talk ) and I gave in and bought a new MP3 player (£25 and via Quidco mind you).
A couple of years ago, a financial mistake would have been to consolidate yet again or spend on a credit card buying a better mp3 player for about 4 times as much as I spent on this little one.
I also didn't budget for my nieces birthdays which are racing around - however I found suitable presents for the both of them & the wrapping paper for £10 in a local shop today. Again, a while back it would have been order something off the internet in a hurry and bung it on the credit card, easily a tenner apiece.
So things are getting better!
However I really really want to whittle the bl00dy overdraft down!
I was posting on x_raphael_xx thread today and I said that I have been in one sort of debt or another all my adult life. Although I know this and have always known this, typing it again hit me in the stomach like I'd been punched. I just have not known any other way and that's really quite shocking to me.
OK there are much worse things to be shocked about I know so I won't blow it out of proportion but, I want to be debt free! I feel like I am driving myself up the wall here!
I feel like I have golden handcuffs on at the moment - well that makes it sound like my job pays a fortune, clearly it doesn't but, it's better than temping which is an option I am considering for my mental health's sake if I don't get another permanent job soon.
But it will just mean earning less and how is that going to help?
*Sigh*
Well on the plus side I am selling little bits on EBAY now I have discovered Tesco vouchers sell like hot cakes!I may have to ask fiancé's Mum if she can save any till spits if she doesn't use them but I will offer to set her up on EBAY if she wants to sell them of course. But if she can't be bothered then I will gladly take them off her.
Every little really does help in my case!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Hi LA....you seem a little down again. You've spent what you've spent and at at least in a MSE way...so thats an achievement.Have you looked at your SOA recently?..The reason I ask is because I check all my outgoings every couple of months and can usually find some service or other cheaper....I don't really have many suggestions as you are better than me at moneysaving..but...keep your chin up!!!0
-
Thanks taxi.
I might pop my SOA on here again soon but there's not much to whittle down off that however I do know it's always worth reviewing frequently.
Thanks!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
