Ha! Funny you should mention that PAP! I was just going to find the thread to give a quick update.
Firstly I want to say a BIG BIG BIG thank you, quite publicly, to MinnieSpender (even though she may not read this much these days) who sent me something, very generously, to celebrate the engagement.
A lovely basket of a rose plant, bottle of wine & some choccies arrived today.
I was totally blown away - so very kind and absolutely gorgeous. Needless to say the wine has been opened & enjoyed tonight.......;)
Minnie I truly hope you don't mind me putting this on the Ramblings but I am so touched by your kindness.
You're a doll! :grouphug: (sorry about that slightly dodgy icon though!)
Not much else to report except I am SKINT, fiancé is SKINT and we cannot really progress with any further plans for a couple of months yet as he has car insurance to pay for & car service, plus we are going on holiday in September - booked ages ago and now paid for but we have petrol & spending money to save for. Also my overdraft is going to be around the £1000 mark by the time August's pay day rolls around.
Hopefully by October it will be down again.
I don't want my Ramblings to turn into a thread about 'the wedding' (whenever *that* is!) but I will just say we have identified somewhere in the local area that could be a really really nice venue for the civil ceremony - but not the reception as they don't do receptions there.
But the good thing is, any profit they make from the wedding goes to help the hospice which it is linked to so we both feel very positive about that.
But no other decisions yet!
Hoping August will be a pleasant month - I have some things planned which are going to cost £££ but they are budgeted for and I just have to try and stay within that budget.
I don't want to wish my life away but I will be relieved when September rolls around as it will be another pay day for both OH & I!
OK soon off to bed as it's been a long & exciting day and I am pooped!
Night all - hope you are all very well.

Does anyone wanna marry me? I wouldn't mind a nice freebie like that. We'll go halves of course.0 -
Then make some up! Sheesh! There are hard-core hat-buyers on here you know...
But in true DFW/MSE styleee we:- go to the "rent a hat" shop or
- buy one hat in neutral colour that will suit all future weddings/christenings/funerals or
- find all mates also attending weddings this year, club together and "one size fits all" or
- type in "hats-r-us" on quidco
- save money on having hair cut and coloured, because it will be under the hat anyway so no one will see it or
- all of the above

OMG I can't believe this!
I put a 250 point till spit on EBAY expecting it to go for 50p - £1....and it's currently sitting at just over £4!
???????
I had to read my own 'advert' again to make sure I hadn't mistyped and put 2500 points or something......>£4?
