Evening all.

Thanks taxi - the OD will go up again tomorrow as the house insurance comes out :rolleyes: but at least I get paid on Thursday. I can do the shopping tonight and pay by cheque (Sainsburys are stopping taking cheques as of 1st August - this will seriously affect how quickly my OD goes up :eek:) and I have bus fare for the rest of the week. Shouldn't have to visit the speed bank as I am not going out anywhere this week.

Minnie - housework. It's something people like me with no life & no money get up to! I may be skint but you could eat your dinner off my coffee table.....

Hypno....yes I did go for a job interview. I didn't get the job - they kindly let me know very quickly today. However I knew I had not done so well in the interview in certain areas (I had tests to do as well as the 'chat') so it did not come as a shock! They did say I was very good in some areas, in fact their best performer, but my 'weak' areas did let me down. Fair enough.

They also said I could get back to them if I fancied another type of role with them which they were looking to take on but I'm not keen, it's not my area at all and I would not be patient enough to do it. But it was nice to be asked.

I've already applied for something else since I got home today - so I'm not giving up!

Hi LA...sorry about the job and good luck with the next one...I'm sure you'll get one you like....you're doing really well with that o/d even if you're phone comes out tommorrow as like you said it's nearly pay day.

Thanks Minnie! I do feel quite positive about what could be perceived as a negative because of the good feedback.

And I know where I went wrong so...all good practice and a learning experience for the next one.

I am glad things are going well for you at work and in your personal life too. Sprinkle a little bit of that good fortune dust my way will you - I promise not to hoover it up!

Just a quick update........some news........

Boyfriend and I got engaged at the weekend!

I won't bore you with the details as it was not a big old romantic popping of the question with him down on one knee (Thank God! I would have *died*) and I got to choose my own engagement ring too!

We've been talking about getting married as in "Will we ever? YES we both hope so" for a while now but nothing has ever happened but this weekend, we took that all important step.

So now I really have got to sort my act out as weddings don't pay for themselves do they? But I have no clue as to when, where, how etc yet so please don't ask or bombard me with questions!

All I know is, it won't be a big affair as I am limelight shy (very!) and can't bear the idea of hours of constant attention.

So...there you have it. Finally someone bonkers enough to put up with me and my constant tidying up & cleaning.....:D

CONGRATULATIONS to you both, as you can see I'm a newbie but have read your diary for awhile so on reading your good news felt it was a good time to say hello I'm like you limelight wise but when I got married I really enjoyed it as it was a one off NEVER to be repeat experience I'm sure you'll have a great time whatever you decide, congratulations again Shell
