Good to hear you sounding positive again. Well done on getting rid of the Tesco card this month. I've just had to fling myself around the lounge having another free DFW home workout (did one last night too!) in a bid to keep warm (I refuse to turn the heating up any more) and also to lift my spirits. Endorphins are great aren't they? Well, whilst they last.
I also had to re-read my positives from above, really needed them.
Got the proper gas bill through today (they underestimated with the £96 gas bill I got a while ago). I want to be bang up to date so I was honest and phoned through the correct reading. Got the bill in today for £114.49. Sob.
Anyway I have written the cheque out and will delay posting it for a few days, then will post it second class to try and keep my account out of even deeper red that it's already going to be.
Does anyone know how long it takes/whether they write to you first before they cut your gas off??
And if they have to remind you, does it put big black marks next to you for credit? I've always paid by direct debit prior to now so I am unsure what to expect if I don't post the cheque for a week or so.
The realisation that the electric bill is also due in very soon dawned on me earlier tonight as well. We've been trying to be really good with electric but whatever it is, it'll be too much this month...I've got no room for manoeuvring really.
My OD limit is £1500, it'll break my heart to max that out, but I can see it coming. And I am scared I might go over it too. But don't worry I will call the bank to get it raised if I have to, so I don't incur stupid charges.
Boyfriend's birthday is coming up very soon. I have ordered him two DVDs but I really want to get him something else, not expensive just £12 from M & S...but I don't know if I should. Maybe I could use my dance ticket money? Oh God I want to cry, I have saved so hard for that ticket. He'd probably tell me off if I did that actually.
I know there are much much much worse people off than me, I know I am really lucky. I'm thankful for what I have got.
I just feel like it's a never ending bl**dy story and I can't help it, it's getting me down tonight. I just want an end to !!!!!!!g credit cards and overdrafts.
There's so much I want to do to the house, I hate so many things about it and felt embarrassed even when the British Gas Boiler Man came to the house yesterday and I'll probably never see him again! I want to spend money improving my home but I can't see when I am going to be able to do it.
Another thing that is getting me down at the moment is work. I don't mind the work I do at all. But without saying too much certain people are getting me down with their approach and I feel like they are expecting me to put my life on hold for the job, and that's never going to happen! So I am anticipating a mini show down at some point which won't be good.
Whenever I feel like that I start wondering if I will have to leave and think about money. I just can't bear the thought of going back to square one regarding money. If I left, I'd have to take a pay drop (99% sure I would anyway) and there's *no way* I can afford to do that right now. OH GOD I can't wait till the end of February cos it will all be over then!
Here I am wishing time away all cos of bl**dy money and work! It's not right.
I need some inspirational, philosophical thoughts. Help me people. Please!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

I always seek out the divine St Quentin of Crisp at moments like this:
The consuming desire of most human beings is deliberately to plant their whole life in the hands of some other person. I would describe this method of searching for happiness as immature. Development of character consists solely in moving toward self-sufficiency.
Or you could go with my old favourite:

aim for the moon, that way even if you fail you'll fall among the stars
or in other words, failing isn't all bad, i can think of worse places to be than among the stars.0 -

Well, Quentin never did.
But Quentin never did housework either. (And I typed that like it's a bad thing...?).

I don't understand. But then again I am tired and fed up and thick anyway.
Think I'll go get me some sleep.
